Thoughts on my counselor taking action?

Ok, so today I was talking to my school counselor. We meet like once a week at school. Today's session, though, ended with him concluding that he would call my parents tomorrow that I'm depressed and stuff like that, and I would tell my parents at home. Something like that (he said that we would finalize the plan tomorrow).

I mean, I understand why he's doing it. I've opened up to my parents 3 times already, and all 3 times I've had to go back to the closet again. Despite this, my counselor says he can't keep seeing me in such a sad state, and he says that I have to take action.

I do agree, but...I'm more worried about what will happen afterwards. When I opened up to them last time, they threatened to kick me out of their house and not recognize me as their child anymore. My counselor says that they can't do this, but...I'm still worried.:( Like, if they feel like they are forced to live with "some messed up piece of crap", they obviously won't give a sh*t about me. They will definitely make my life miserable. Also, they like to live in this "perfect" box where anything they don't like is thrown out of this box that they live in. They just don't listen to anyone (even though my counselor says that this plan will force them to listen, that doesn't mean that they are necessarily listening - it just means that they hear me, and they have the right to not give a crap about anything I, or my counselor, says).

I don't know...maybe it's just irrational fear getting to me. If this turns out great (if it even does...I highly doubt it though), that would be amazing...but there's a very high chance that it won't.

Thoughts?

Only my opinion, but tell them you want to see a Therapist for depression. If they agree and the Therapist confirms Gender Dysphoria maybe they would accept it better from a professional. At least you would have an ally on your side for the future. :)

I agree with Jessica, perhaps try to see a therapist for depression and dysphoria first. If your parents won't agree to that, THEN take action with your counselor. Maybe he could schedule all of you to have a counseling session together. Do you have any other supportive friends or family? That may help with your process as well.
