IMPORTANT!!!!
This morning, from a cave somewhere in Pakistan , Taliban Minister of
Migration, Mohammed Omar, warned the United States and Canada that if
military action against Iraq continues, Taliban authorities will cut
off America's and Canada's supply of convenience store managers.
And if this action does not yield sufficient results, cab drivers will
be next, followed by Dell and Sprint customer service reps.
It's starting to get ugly folks.
Hmmnnn... maybe I don't have a relaxed enough sense of humour, but quite frankly, I find the joke offensive. You're a very sweet person BeverleyAnn, but I've just never cared for jokes that rely on stereotypes for their 'humour' value.
(Oh, I was already thinking this before I got to the line about Sprint & Dell, but as a Supervisor at a large Sprint/Nextel Call Center, I'd mention that every one of Nextel's Customer Service Centers are
either in the US or Canada. That doesn't speak to other departments, and I don't know about the Sprint side, but...
Being in the Customer Service industry, I'm
not a big fan of overseas outsourcing, but I also get really tired of bigoted Americans asking for a Supervisor because they assume the Rep they're talking to isn't in America - I love getting on the phone, and informing them that they are speaking to TWO Americans, from Portland OR, and that the Rep they just complained about is as American as they are!)
