Okay.

So hi.

I'm planning on coming out over Facebook, to EVERYONE , I plan on doing it on April the first or "April fools day" (That's my scape goat if I get the wrong reception) The thing is, Because of a whole bunch of crap (Long irrelevant story) I'm coming out at midnight which is in about 2 hours.

1) first of all; HOLY CRAP!
2) Is this way of coming out a bit too impersonal?
3) (optional) Anyone got links to any good, happy ending coming out stories

I think that would be a bad idea to put it off as a April fools day joke. Your going to have to show people you are serious and if you do go about it that way nobody will take you seriously when you do have to come out eventually. I wish you luck though the sooner you come out the easier it will be so your not having to make up excuses for hormone changes.

I second this. Do it on the 2nd or whenever.  You want people to take you seriously. I came out on a random Tuesday a few months ago and some people still think Im joking.  It's a pain in the butt.

When I came out over facebook, there was a handful of super supportive people. Then the rest sort of just started to ignore me.  I guess my facebook page is sort of a happy ending as far as coming out on facebook is concerned.  I'm happy and I have made some good friends that know who I really am.  Everyone else can unfriend me or whatever.

With me I came out to all my friends and family in different ways. I told me mother and brother face to face. Mum took about 3 attempts before my awkward visits kinda made sense Some friends I told through text messages because I thought that would be easiest for them and myself. Like give them time to think about it a bit before getting back to me. I called one of them and I came out to another in an online game...lol So with me I found that my relationships with each one of them was different and needed different approaches. Even though you've probally come out to them all by now you might still find that you might have to do something like this eventually anyway. Good luck !!

Can't fault anyone for wanting a safety net or way out.  I think it's actually a good idea to do it on April 1st.

But another way to look at it is if you need a safety net your not prepared to face being out. Your better off staying in the closet till you are if you can't accept all the consequences of being out the good and the bad.

Yeah just come out later.  There's no rush.  Coming out can be a friggin pain in the butt if you're not ready.
