BA at the same time as GCS?

OK I'm getting close to my date. The surgeon I have selected has an excellent rep for BA as well. I am about a B and would like to go to a C.

Any comments about dealing with both at the same time?

From what I've read from others it's not really recommended unless you are a real glutton for punishment. It would make recovery very difficult. I had a bone graft from my hip and used to pin a broken shoulder and oh boy did it make life hard as well as incredibly painful just moving, let alone doing anything.
Oh right you're Cindy! Enough said. ;D

Anyway spill it, when's the big day?

So long and thanks for all the fish

I've often thought it would be best to just have all completed at one time. Then just wake up normal, take time to heal up then enjoy one nice normal life finally.

Cindy, Good luck to you as you improve/change. Thank you so much for your help on all the posts.

Bear in mind that I've had neither, but I would definitely not do both. One is going to make you want to use your legs more and one is going to make you want to use your arms more. You could get a BA anywhere.

Thank you Hon, as I said to a friend tonight I was going to leave the site as I thought I had nothing to offer any more.

I realised I do.

I have me.

And I will help people however I can.

You can do both together if you are good shape and the key thing, if you have the time to do the proper aftercare. The SRS surgery requires a lot of aftercare. The good thing I suppose is that you could massage while the dilator is in. I did mine separately, but I was a product of the times. In 2003 I couldn't do silicone implants, in fact that was a dirty word back then. If I wanted the most natural looking outcome I would have to go overseas and get them done which is why I ended up in Thailand in 2005.

I would just say, ouch. Unless You really have high pain tolerance or want to punish Yourself SRS+BA wouldn't be a  good idea ;)

Had SRS+Trachea(minor stuff) and having a pair of fully operational arms helped me very much. But everybody is different and I'll be back there in 6-7 months for holiday + BA, now just need to get 2 things fixed, my pussy and my budget ;)

I was at Brassard's with a woman who did both, and she said it was more difficult than other women were reporting from GRS only, but still tolerable. She was glad she did do both and "got it over with," if that helps.

I have decided against this.  That recovery has to be brutal.  I also would like to minimize the time under anesthesia to maximize my chances of waking up afterward!

One major trauma at a time for me.

I have debated this too, decided against it, and as my GRS date gets closer I found myself revisiting the idea.  I think it will be more than I want to take on at one time and I have never had any surgeries at all, so I think it's going to be best to just focus on the GCS and later get BA, after you have recovered.  In the process of making my decision I have talked to a lot of people who have had GRS, and a lot who have had BA, and a few who have had both at the same time.  The most popular answer from all of the is do not do them both at the same time.

BA is not the easiest of ops to recover from because it involves muscles and u can't left things or yourself and you can't use strength on your arms for a while. I had BA with rhino and I would def recommend you just do a BA separately from other operations, I have a high pain threshold and it's not about that, it's about the fact that with 2 surgeries like that I don't know how u could get to the bathroom alone! Multiple minor surgeries in one sitting?  Yes, do them at once.

Major ones in one sitting?  No, not unless it's critical for keeping you alive.  Abdominal surgery is generally one of the horrible ones to recover from (regardless of region).  I'd rather regrow wisdom teeth and have them removed again!

The only reason I would say it might be appropriate is that if you have comcommitant risk factors for a GA, then yes, I would say it would be safer for you to have as many procedures done in one hit.
