People around me know that I am a biological male without getting HRT. I always wear 34A size. But some of my colleagues ask why I do not wear B or C-cup sizes. I replied that A-cup is more comfortable for my body and also my mind, as I have a nearly flat chest. Also, a stereotype here is that women with big boobs are generally less intelligent, just appealing sexually. I want to look intelligent to people.

I guess some of my colleagues seem to prefer my wearing bigger bras. Should I purchase B-cup bras? I am not quite sure. I think it is a kind of lie that I wear A-cup bras, but it is anyway forgivable. However, wearing B-cup bras will be a bigger lie.

Presumably if you bump your bra size up you would need to use breast forms? Guess it depends on how comfortable you would feel wearing them everyday. If you prefer your shape and presentation as it is I wouldn't change to suit what others think.

Bigger also means more attention. You might not want that. I sure don't.

It's all about proportion.  "Porn star" racks will definitely attract attention.  I have a very large frame, so even a "B" is a bit small on me, but a "DD" is a bit much.  I found that a large "C" to a medium "D" looks most natural on me. 

Sometimes less is more.

Yes. A-cup is far more comfortable, because it does not need breast forms. I am a little bit curious why they prefer my wearing B-cup bras.

I was thinking something along the same lines. Why do your colleagues (work I'm assuming) have a vote in what size breasts you have, lol? I wasn't aware we could make requests like that at the office, ha ha! That must have been an interesting conversation around the lunch table...

I don't think B cup is all that large... though I'm with everyone wondering why this is coworkers' business! They don't get a vote in your body (or presentation, as you prefer).

Someone did once suggest to my wife that being 36J was "unprofessional." As I recall, she asked what the heck she was supposed to do about it, and if she took the obvious and only solution, then did she get to pick a part of *their* body to surgically alter to be more professional. The conversation was dropped permanently.

I could definitely get away with wearing an A-cup due to some rather inconvenient fatty deposits and mammary glands but I'm considering a B-cup breast form since I won't be going full time.

So where can you get really large A-cup, or even B-cup? 38A is the largest Walmart seems to sell, I can't wear it long without having breathing problems. I've also got some of their sport bras, which don't have cup size but have the same problem even with a 44. I think I need at least 50, but all those bras have huge cup sizes which I am not going to come lose to filling. Any suggestions?

You can go online to a vendor like Bare Necessities or other big lingerie sites and search by band and cup size.  There are a few options up to 50A.  However, in the large band sizes even the A cups are still pretty large.  You could look for something really stretchy and try a smaller band size.  A high impact sports bra that is tight will really stifle your breathing, but there are lower impact ones.  It takes a lot of searching - but there is hope.

Um...  Your colleagues have ZERO say in what cup size bras you wear!  That is more than a little over the line.

Wear what you like and are comfortable with.  All the pictures you post are gorgeous, so what you are doing works just great.

I think "lie" is a bit too strong a term, Barbie. There's an old saying that a man's face is his autobiography and a woman's face is her work of fiction. I suppose with the chest it's even easier to "stretch" the truth a bit, but women have been doing it for a very long time. I see no shame in it for anybody.

I'm kind of with you when about going with smaller sizes, though. All my bras are A or AA. I have  a couple of stretchy bralettes that I easily fill with no accentuation and those are my favorites. I have a pair of silicon "cutlets" that help me with roomier ones, though, and it doesn't bother me to wear them. I've considered picking up some substantial forms sometime, but I don't think I'd wear them all the time. Come to think of it, there's probably virtue in consistency with this sort of thing. I'm recalling the teenage Britney Spears whose bra size seemed to vary about 3 cup sizes on regular basis.

I like your strapless bra. For some reason I've never worn one of those. I think I'll pick one up sometime.

Oh. Thanks for valuable comments, everybody.

Here in my country, colleagues and friends think they are a kind of family members each other, and like to chat even about private issues of a person. We easily talk about the religion, the family and the political view of a person. Body touch is also very common here, and I guess the main reason is the high population density of this country. Even a woman who I met first time touched my bra straps to check whether I am a biological woman or not. It is a kind of expression of intimacy among women.

Their talking about my bra size is also an expression of their intimacy and affection to me. At least, they did not say I should not wear bras, based on the reason that I am biologically male.

Lyric, yes, I prefer strapless bras. They are easier to wear. As it is a kind of negligence of etiquette to expose bra straps here, I like wearing strapless bras, especially when I wear boat neck tops.

Hopefully I will be able to purchase affordable strapless bras while visiting Hawaii next week.

Personally I've never been impressed with large breasts, age and gravity usually takes their toll on them and they become very unsightly in the flesh. I've been on HRT for going on 20 years and come from a family of large breasted women. I get a lot of BS from trans women about how their big cup size is and have to smile on one side of my face because I have a really large typically masculine chest that requires a 44" band size and I am only a large A. Here's a few selfie body shots, these are large A's, a B cup would be too big, so all you folks with D's and double D's that haven't had a BA to achieve that have me smiling on one side of my face because trans women with XY chromosomes don't grow large female breasts outside of getting surgical implants.

Shantel : Wait, are you seriously saying that those of us who report being that size without implants are not telling the truth? All I can tell you is, I was professionally fitted at 38DD... (and my favorite bras are 42DDD, but sure, I'll grant you that's "self-sized.")

Incidentally, the cup volume of a 44A is generally the same as that of 38D or 36DD. It's not a stable thing; cup volume increases as band size does. So although you have a broad enough chest to end up in an A cup, that would make you among the group who was reporting an "impossible" size if you were a couple of band sizes smaller. I believe you, though. 😉

I'd even suggest you get professionally fitted as well, since that bra in the bottom shot doesn't look very supportive, and I was *shocked* that the fitter said I needed to go down 2 band sizes to a 38. (I strongly recommend Nordstrom's if you do. They were fantastic.)

@Barbie - I would agree with wearing whatever you are comfortable and happy with. If we are wearing things for other than ourselves we are doing it for the wrong reasons.

As far as band size goes I'm 8months in and wear a band size under my chest size to fit the cups perfectly. That's where trial and error comes in. We have to match our unique bodies.

The so called sports bra in Shan's final picture... I notice no difference in support between those and my T-Shirt. I can make comments on sizing but it's different topic. I've tried the range of silicone forms from my natural size now to 3sizes larger to find what works for me.

The lesson I suppose is to look the way that you fell best about yourself.
