What kind of bloodwork to they typically test for hormones?  I realize this probably sounds crazy, but I want to talk to the local trans experienced endocrinologist about it.   Basically long story short I was born with congenital hypothyroidism and had an awful time during puberty that resulted in virilitization of my facial features and I look very masculine, bad acne and scars, and literally no fat in my face.   So not only look like a man but an old man.  I am convinced this is a result of screwed up hormones and it's awful.  This is just a recent thought, but I have been reading how hypothyroidism can cause virilization and it makes sense if hormones are out of whack.  I get regular tsh tests but what else do they test for for hrt? Estrogen testosterone? ? (And FYI I would never ever self medicate ever, especially since I have children).  Which is weird, since my body is feminine but my face is very masculine and it's horrifying.  It may sound superficial but it's not.  I have such social anxiety and hate going out in public and it really is doing a number on my quality of life, and I know it had to be my hormones effect on face during puberty. I had my forehead done but it did nothing.  It's depressing, and I'm just wondering how to approach it with my doc, if there's a way.  I just want to be normal looking and think hormones could soften my harsh looking face?
