Where do you find dates?

Are there good, free online sites?

I'm trying to figure this part out. Lesbians seem not to be in to ftm's.

Any advice?

I would think bisexual and pansexual people would be the most accepting of FTM's in regards to dating, but I know plenty of straight women and gay men who also date FTM's. It's all about every individual's mentality, and if they can really see past certain physical characteristics and fall in love with the man inside.

But if a lesbian was into you, wouldn't that mean she is most likely still viewing you as female? That's probably not what you want, is it?

I was actually already dating someone when I revealed about thinking I am FtM (I've since then confirmed that it is a yes) Anyways, he's hetro, but i so believe he's pan. Anyways, try to find someone accepting. My sister had terrible luck with online sites for dating and you never know who the person really is.

Haha! True about lesbains viewing me as female. I brought it up because it's the world I'm recently from. But as I think back most of my ex-girlfriends were bisexual. Three of them are now married to men. Straight women have had crushes on me in the past and then freaked out because they thought they were attracted to a female.

Sweet!-that you are in a relationship with someone accepting. Did you decide to go on T?

True about online dating sites. I haven't dated or been in a relationship for 2 1/2 years. It'd be nice to date.

Good point Izzy. I know of a couple who got married who are ftm and mtf.  I do find that I am attracted to mtf's since starting T.

I've had plenty of dates! Find them at your local food store.

Truth: I've been hella single.

Haha!  You are funny!  Yeah-I have a feeling.....hehe.

Before starting T I thought that it's quite possible I won't be in a relationship again once I transition.  So I figured if I had to make a decision between being true to myself and risk being single forever vs getting into another relationship and sacrificing myself, that I'd rather be true to myself (if this makes sense) and transition. I really wasn't able to be in my body.

I mean, I'm in a different situation. I came out a bunch of years ago, only been in one relationship (which lasted for 2 years around when I came out), and I've been single for the last 5. I'm comfortable with myself and know what I want in a partner, the difficulty is that I'm looking more for somebody as a long term partner and skip potentially great people. Like a person who I talk to might be really awesome but if I don't initially have interest, skip it.

I have decided I will.
I just need to get the money for all my medical stuff cause i have no insurance and I only get a check from my school every 3-4 months (i should get one soonish Maybe at the end of this month or next month) but since it's not monthly income, I'm wary of using it too fast (it went fast last time cause of my laptop purchase which was needed)
Though he keeps asking me questions, like after top surgery, will my nipples be the same, tries to figure out how big my *cough* well ya know will be, etc etc. I've been doing research and such about top surgery and reading things here and there about T and each person's experiences with it, which helps a lot for me.

I'll tell you this. My first ex, I did not date him until my sophomore year of high school. I did go about that same amount (maybe a bit more) between my last ex and my current SO. (Though right now, the chicken ->-bleeped-<- little prick is in serious trouble and he fears my temper quite a bit)

Not really into those dates xD

Find someone who you can truly connect with, who you love and who loves you back. For most it doesn't matter if you are ftm or mtf if they love you (though some really need one to have a certain body part(s).

If you find a fun/nice/lovely someone just go for it, it might be the one you were looking for.
