This morning before work I called the therapist I've been meaning to call. Had to leave a message but that's usual.

Driving to work she called back. Luckily I put a hands free kit in my car. She was happy to take me on and we settled on next Tuesday morning for our first meeting. She sounds nice. Best of all, her office is 1 block from my apartment.

My boss has a tendency to have me cover for him so I told him I had an appointment Tuesday morning during a quiet moment. For no apparent reason I decided to tell him I was seeing a therapist because I'm transgendered. He has no problems with that at all but asked that I involve HR when I decide to do RL.

The benefits of working in mental health.

Squeeeee!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

That's really awesome that you were able to tell your boss so quickly! Being open about who you are is so beautifully cathartic. It's great to hear stories like this.

Not really. I still have to come out to my wife.
