Since this is my first post I'll start with a quick intro (skip first paragraph if you don't care to read my intro). I'm 22 yrs old, pre-everything, living in San Diego, and an unemployed college student. I've known I wanted to be a girl ever since I was old enough to understand the difference between the genders but it wasn't until about a year ago that I learned about HRT, FFS, etc. I did a little internet research because I knew about transgender people but I had no idea how to go about doing it and after reading up on HRT and FFS I was VERY excited to learn that I actually had a shot at living a life I'd only dreamed of. So here I am trying to make that dream a reality.
I've been seeing a therapist for about 4 months now and he uses the Informed Consent model, which seems to be "I don't need a letter this is my decision now give me hormones!" Which I think is an awesome model, lol. So I'm just wondering how many gals (or guys) have used this model to obtain hormones? Will I have to act like a lawyer and argue my case to the doctor? Any advice or tips would be appreciated, thanks in advance!
