So I've been thinking about the reality of having to wear a bra but wishing to still present androgynously.

If I become a tanner stage 3, will I need a bra? or will I be able to get away with wearing most stuff bra-less? Mostly button down type shirts some sweaters.

These days cis girls start wearing a bra when they have little more than tiny bumps, whether they need to or not is another matter. I have no idea what "tanner" stage I'm at but can still comfortably not wear a bra as wear one, if not I do need to wear loose shirts over a baggy tee to really get away with it though. The thing about bras is that lift and shape, so wearing one would make it harder to keep the breasts hidden even under loose shirts

You need to be selective with your blouses or shirts.  Baggy is generally safe, depending on the style shirt you wear.  I often wear thermal type shirts in this cooler weather, but it does show my breast development.  A slightly large button up shirt of of a somewhat thick cotton tends to hide my development. Thinner materials, to include cotton, will accentuate your breasts.  Thicker sweaters can hide breast development to a point.  If you are really concerned about your breasts, you might consider binding, as done by ftm, until such time as you are ready to show off the "girls".

I use thick fabric sweaters.
Including sweater vests.
Oversize shirts.
Slippery T shirts.
Am considering a gyno shirt but I would rather be loose.
Suitjacket at work.

Well, I wear one because it sort of covers things up, support, and to prevent sagging.  But yeah... people do notice.  I have breasts and it's not hard to tell.  For the time being, I usually wear a undershirt and then a baggy dress shirt on top of it.  The t-shirt sort of prevents the straps or anything else showing and the baggy t-shirt sort of hides my chest.  It's not perfect and people do notice even though I'm trying to hide them.  There is only so much a baggy shirt can do.  I guess it's just part of the process and will be a blessing instead once I go full time. 

I wear a bra because it makes me feel feminine. I'm a 38B or C depending on the manufacturer and yes it seems petty clear to me that I have breasts regardless of what I am wearing.  A button up shirt loose at the collar makes it less obvious, but the crazy thing is most people see what they expect to see and unless I am giving off other clues few people seem to pay attention.  Which seems doubly weird because I work closely with a lot of people.  Androgyny is more about how you present rather than the specifics of your body, that's my experience in any case.  The pantomime ends pretty soon regardless 40 days till full time, I'm counting down now.

yep like she said, if you want to wear thin fabrics even if they are baggy if you got some development, Binding is your best bet, or use a sports bra, those sorta just appear in the back as a sleeveless shirt.   I had to bind until I was ready to go full time.

I wear baggy shirts only when not in girl mode and in public.  With a shirt that fits normally, they would show.  It's easy for me because I just steal my boyfriend's shirts

I personally would never bind because I'd be afraid to hurt them

Why be so concerned about wearing a bra. If you need one wear one & if not do not.  Just have fun GF's.

A sports bra will look just like a men's tank top style undershirt through a tshirt as long as the tshirt is roomy.
