Hi :)

My name is Nikki. I'm 20 years old and I am on my 2nd weeks of hrt. I was on Spiro about 1 month before starting Estrodial. I'm currently on very low dosages... I have to inject myself every 2 weeks. :) I'm kinda impatient, but I know it's best for me to start things slowly.

My nipples have been sore since the beginning of my 2nd weeks. Hopefully that is a good thing. I have been reading some stuff on here through google, and decided to join and share my stories. I also want to ask some questions.

I'm currently 5'8" and weight 195. I have big belly and my boobs pop out more than my belly. Can I start loosing weight now to get rid of my belly and then gain it back, so that the new female fat cells can go to the right places?

Thank you and it's nice to be here. :)

Welcome to Susan's.

Losing weight now is an excellent idea. Weight that returns will likely go to your hips.

Hi Nikki! Welcome and make yourself at home!

Just a quick reminder, we cannot allow users to post their dosages because other people could use the info to self medicate. So, I edited out of your post for you. No big deal ;) Just something to keep in mind for future posts!

As far as fat redistribution, yes that is totally a thing! You will get darn near close to what you would have been if you were a cis female. The only difference being that once a fat cell is formed, it never goes away. So, you'll likely always have a little bit of a remnant of male type distribution. I think I remember hearing somewhere that all the fat cells you will need for your whole life are created by the time we hit 12. Either way, you will get a very noticeable amount of redistribution and it is definitely something to be excited about :)

Hey Nikki

Welcome to Susan's  :)  Great to have you here - looking forward to seeing you around the forum.

Please check out the following posts for helpful tips and info...

You'll find your body will work out where the fat cells need to be redistributed to. If you're overweight it doesn't hurt to lose weight but over the next year or so things will sort themselves out around the breasts and hips as long as you are eating well and exercising.

Cheers

Grace

Hi and welcome to the family! *gives you a big warm hug* and yes you should start shedding some weight
to get the other fats you want in the right places.  ;)
Never fear shadows. They simply mean there's a light shining somewhere nearby.
