This past week while my wifes been away in arizona, I have been able to dress as I want and even co driving while dressed.    I know so many sisters have done this already and more, but its new to me.  I went  driving by day and at night.  Boy, did it feel good.   I really felt good, being able to let my otherself out and do things instead of hiding all the time.   Last night I went   driving and even  stopped at a gas station.  I was wearing a light , cream colored skirt with  brown  flowers on it, plus a short sleeve semi turtle neck sweater type shirt and because it was cool, a matching  button down sweater.  I had on beige  2in  pumps  and a nice pair of coffee pantyhose.  I pulled into the gas station ( actually a conveinient store type gas station).  Although it was late at night and only a couple of cars there, it felt great to get out in public, even for only a few minutes as melody.  No one said a thing as I got out and cleaned my wind shield and back window.  With this new experience I have more confidence as melody  going out.  Next time I may even try doing it in day time where there is more people about, may even go in and buy something?

Even if no one sees, it's still a very important first step to be out dressed and getting comfortable doing it.  It would be pretty bold to go in and buy something though, if you're nowhere near passable.

Congratulations Melody  :eusa_clap:....
I myself have done this, where I ran for over 100 km, passing through tolls and still carrying my daughter ...
I was with a black skirt and shirt sleeves 3/4 green. It seems a simple thing, but for us, is something that inspires us  :)...

Congrats on having the courage to face your fears and be the real you! :) Just remember baby steps! Do things too soon and a bad experience could destroy any confidence you have built up. Kudo's Melody on your public debut!! ;D

I've been out and about everywhere but the only time I get a problem is while driving. Just last night three yoots walked past while I was waiting at the lights, all three turned round and stared for a good twenty seconds as they walked past. I was willing them to walk into a lampost. :eusa_wall: :

I love driving, it's actually therapeutic for me.. just like cross dressing. I wonder what would happen if I do both at the same time.

Whenever I've done this I find I drive slower and less aggressively. I don't think it's anything so complex as male/female brain, just I'm in less of a rush. Once, though, I'd been driving about five minutes at night before realising I hadn't put my headlights on. I'd really rather not find myself stopped thanks!

But the worst was getting a flat tyre. I was about five miles from home, during the day and in the middle of my home city. No chance to sit in full view changing into male mode and no desire to be spotted. And I certainly wasn't dressed for changing a wheel. So I walked home. Fortunately I was dressed in officewear and my heels were only about two inches, so head down I could blend in enough to avoid much attention. When I got home I had the worst blisters I've ever endured, but I'd survived and had a combination of relief and pride.

Taught me to be prepared? Nah, not really.  ;)

When I have to stop at a gas station and ask to fill up, guys there sometimes ask whether I am a man or a woman, and etc. Very rude question, and I do not reply. For this reason, I usually use my fingers to denote the amount of gas I want to fill, instead of my voice.

barbie~~
Just do it.
