$18,000 would pay a good chunk of my debt, which is about $20,000. It hurts to pay back.

I got a recent (last month) quote for SRS from Dr. Brassard and he is currently $17,000 USD.  I have to check with the State of Illinios to make sure I won't have any problems getting my birth certificate changed if I go to a surgeon in Canada.

I believe that Dr Brassard has been accepted on the "licensed list" of US surgeons which satisfies all states who allow birth certificate change.

Brassard is licensed in Michigan so he satisfies the criteria for changing your birth certificate gender in the State of Illinois.  I have a friend who was instrumental in getting him to obtain that license and I and other pre-op Illinois girls wrote him to encourage him to do so.  That he did it shows what a guality person he is.

Illinois however should be ashamed for having such a ridiculous law intact and to have passed it within such close proximity to the non-discrimination law that passed protecting trans people here.  ???
