Games are too hard for me

grrr,

I wanna be one of the big boys, I want to play hard games like dark souls :) but I can't get past the first boss! I tried like 400 times, and I watched all kinds of videos and walkthroughs but couldn't get past.... I gave up, lol! I'd tell everyone that the game sucks, but no, I suck at the game :)

I'm so jealous of you guys who can beat games like that! I'm in awe, the videos on youtube are amazing! Anyway, even Fable, which someone told me was an easy game, was pretty difficult, I didn't get far, I kept dying and dying and dying.... I quit. I'm being mercilessly slaughtered by the first boss in Warrior Within.... in EASY mode!

I can't go past the 4th or 5th mission in GTA vice city AND san andreas... it's too hard for me... I like to think that if I can't beat something, nobody can :) :), but I can only live with that lie until I get to youtube. I wish I could say "I love challenges" but truth is I hide when people say "games are too easy these days", lol not for me, it's too hard. I can't even beat Pokemon leaf green!

I thought I was a hardcore gamer, guess I'm not... I'm gonna admit it, I'm not one of the big boys or the big girls who can handle the hard stuff, I'm looking for something easy :) Easy games, which aren't like simple mobile games (I hate those), I'm looking for an easy game which resembles a real game you guys play!

I love games so much, but can't really play them... I'm kind of happy with myself to be able to admit this fact, despite the fact that I love games... I still hate admitting it :( I've learned to take it not so seriously anymore, I joke about how much I suck at games, you can too!  :D :D Just about any videogame boss can make me feel like quitting gaming forever!

and please, would somebody admit they also can't handle the hard stuff? come on, i'm so lonely here!

I'm another one.  I cannot beat ANY GTA game without cheats.  I can't beat ANY Metal Gear Solid game at all: Quite frankly, I wish EVERY game had cheats.  I also play all of my games on easy and get mad when there's only "normal" mode as "easy".

I play video games to escape the real world for a bit and to relax.  I don't play for a frustrating challenge. Despite all of that, I still consider myself a hardcore gamer though.

Very interesting thread :)

Its just a game...  I'm more interested in the story and the artistic quality of the settings than the shoot-em-ups.  I will usually just wander around in easy mode, exploring, looking for easter eggs and bugs.  Yes, I still fire up Myst every once and a while.  lol.

As you can imagine,  I really don't like the mindless violence that soaks most games.  Been there done that in real life, don't need to play  simulations of it. Have even really fallen away from gaming in the past few years, mostly because in an inverse rate to as graphics and effects get better it seems that story gets repetitive and more juvenile. That and they are incredible time sinks...

I used to be so bitter about it, but now I laugh about it. Honestly, I can't beat GTA vice city's 'riot' mission even with cheats! and I've been trying to beat POP : Warrior Within's first boss for like 4 months now!

Good to know I'm not alone, and thank you.

It's nice to hear others play in easy mode! Everyone's like "I play the game in ultra-impossible difficulty!"  ;D I wish I could say that too! that's pretty cool.

I honestly love the stories, and the characters in videogames, but unfortunately the big bad first level boss (who everyone says is easy) won't let me pass! I took off about 20% of the first boss's health in Dark Souls once, I'm so proud!  Most times I don't even hurt him....

Resident Evil 4 is the worst, those zombies are so rude! I kill one or two zombies sometimes, woohoo! that's my top score! yeah! I know they want to eat my brains, but a little bit of courtesy?  ;D

It all depends on the game for me.  When games have a difficulty setting, I generally play on normal.  I do play games on hard and insane difficulty, as well as easy.  I usually only crank up the difficulty to obtain an achievement or if I want to challenge myself.  Fighting games like street fighter and d.o.a I play on easy, since I'm god awful at them.  Smash bros is about the only exception in that genre, I'm awesome at that.  I can play action/adventure, strategy, shooters, and dancing sims on hard.  always play sports games with the sliders all the way in my favor though, lol.

I challenge you to a smash bros fight, but I get to use unlimited life bar and you get only one!

I hate sports games, I always lose in a competitive match. :) I lost 9-0 to my friend in FIFA and I had the best team.

All you need to do is blow up the barrels and that will blow up the trucks. Just drive around and scope out plenty of weapons (no cheats.) and you can do it very easily.

Wish I had the save now! but thanks! I don't think I got to the trucks though, the guys outside beat me up and kill me.

You need to do some fancy footwork and double back a time or two. Then, you start blasting'em.

It's only four missions away from the start, might as well start again...

Thank you, I have no idea why I have such trouble!

Is that one of the harder missions, will things get easier after that one?

I'm so jealous, lol. I haven't finished one yet..... not even 1%

I bought the game in 2012, and it's 2014 now, and the best I've ever done against the boss is about 20% damage, and I've tried all classes and everything! he has such a big weapon, it's not fair..... I try hiding, but he swings through everything.... merciless! I think I've had over a hundred tries every year since 2012..... no kidding.... it's impossible. whoever beats that boss probably uses voodoo. only explanation.

Dark Souls is a little too easy for me.  ;) you girls have fun playing dark souls :)

Anybody know a game where you go around fighting monsters without needing too much skill or sweat. I know it's lame and boring, but... I like lame and boring... ;) Do they even make games like that lol ?

I want to beat a game!

well, for ps2, if you want to beat the games you're struggling with and are 100% positive you can't beat, I'd invest in a game shark or action replay.  As for easy games, that's subjective.  The katamari games were pretty easy for me.  Grandia 3 and dragon quest 8 aren't too hard either.  If you're into final fantasy, x and x-2 aren't too bad either.  Bioshock infinite was a great game and I know it's available on PC.  So is skyrim.  Neither is very difficult.  Played bioshock on hard and skyrim on normal.  Of course, several PC games have trainers/cheats if you run into trouble.  I played those two on 360 though.

dark souls is just a really challenging game and its made to be so, doesn't mean you suck at games lol dark souls made me want to throw my controller tons of times, that's when I had to take a break, still haven't beat it, just don't have the time to lol

While not monsters, the Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games are pretty fun games. A bit mindless in how you play them but man can I not get enough of them. I might just be a sucker for Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Nobunaga's Ambition. There is even gundam version of those games and one for Fist of the north Star if you are into anime at all and those would interest you. Go around fighting tons of things in those games and they are pretty easy. Lots of difficulty levels in them also.
