Quote from: Lee on May 12, 2014, 11:56:02 AMIf I may ask, which one in Denver offers hormones? I'm in Aurora, and I go to the one near me for depo provera. It would be nice to hear what your experience is with them.
Quote from: KamTheMan on May 11, 2014, 11:59:05 PMOkay so I'm calling the one in Denver that offers hormones tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to make an appointment for this week when my roommate will be driving down there anyways. Does anyone know how many appointments I will need to go to before I get on T? I suppose I'm just going to ask that in the morning. I'm actually hoping I can get my first shot that day but.. I don't know if I'd be that lucky.
Quote from: KamTheMan on May 12, 2014, 09:28:17 PMYea I called and they said to get a therapists letter if I could but if I couldn't that would be okay. They said it would likely be at least a month before I can actually start T but I'm hoping it goes quicker than that. My appointment is Wednesday next week.
Quote from: Felix on May 12, 2014, 09:49:09 PMThat sounds really positive. A month is not bad at all. I had a supportive therapist and doctor and it still took me at least a year to get a letter and hormones, mostly because nobody wanted to be on paper as the one who authorized it. Once I got my letter I was asked not to tell anyone where I got it, and I was told my T-prescriber only took my case as "a favor" to the doctor who referred me.
