Last week I went and saw my psychiatrist and he urged me to see their therapist, so I set up an appointment. I had met him once a few months ago in guy mode. Now I was in female mode, and he surprised me when he said to me that I am a post op. I had to correct him and I told him that I am a pre-op, but am thinking of starting HRT soon. We talked and everything went good  :)

A good start, Gina. The fact that he thught you were post op means that you're passing well.

:)

That's what I thought. Someone saw me and recognized me at Wal-Mart the other day and told my mom and she told my mom that I really needed help. I'm going to find out more . . .  ???

So you were carrying a large item you needed help with?  ;)

Wish it was that easy, but my mom wouldn't tell me who it was but she had told me that the person who saw me told her that I didn't look good and the help I needed was probably psychological.

That's a horrible thing to hear Gina. Hope it doesn't get you down and keep going strong babe! x

Thanx for the support Kate, but nothing's gonna bring this girl down!  :icon_mrhappy: The problem that I'm facing is that people can't get adjusted to the new me, so they'll say anything bad to my family. I know that I look good or else everyone would be looking at me strangely when I go out. Now that I'm seeing 2 therapists, it gives me something to talk about to either one, and get their input on the subject.

Today as I was checking some things out from the library, I noticed that they were looking for some volunteers. So I grabbed an application and I spoke with a librarian and she's seen me in here lots of times and I asked her how I should fill it out. Then I had to tell her that I'm a transsexual and that sometimes I come in as a man and most times I'm in here as a woman. She told me to apply for what I felt most comfortable as. So that will most definitely be as a woman!  :) I guess I must be passing!  :)

Of course you will apply as a woman. You could never pass as a man... ;)
I don't have a gender issue.
I love being a girl.

Very well said Ciara. Three times a week I unfortunately have to resume my male façade and even when I'm in the library no one recognizes me from the times that I'm in here as my feminine self. We're two totally different people.  So I fully understand what you mean when you say I can never pass as a man, because I have totally taken on the embodiment of a woman now!  :) And my male self is just a shadow of my former self.

Yeah! That's a very good point there Paula Christine. Women always have the upper advantage!  :icon_mrhappy:

This morning I went to church and I was approached by a gentleman who told me to stop over thinking things. He told me that the congregation got all over him because of his tattoos, and then he told me that he was into the drag shows. I told him that I was a transsexual and he asked me if I was post or pre op. I took that as a compliment, and then  I told him I was a pre-op. He then told me that people that have a problem with me, it's their problem, and I shouldn't worry about it. Then when I was sitting in the sanctuary, a gentleman came over and shook my hand and said that I looked very pretty.

That gentleman is right on all accounts - especially about not over thinking things.

You're absolutely right Ms. Grace. I've been just putting too much thought into things these days and letting everything around me bother me and not just living my life the way I want it. Soon I'll be on my own again and I'll be FREE! :icon_geekdance:
