I can definitely relate to her experience -- just as I was waking up in the recovery room, I had a dream that I was a 4 year old again yelling at my father to stop the car we were in because I needed to go pee so badly, and I was being told that I could not need to pee that terribly.  The lighting in my recovery room was so dim (to me) that I had a moment of worry it might be the morgue.

I am glad she is OK and seemingly happy here, but yeah, the pain meds are meant to confuse you about whether you hurt or not, and they tend to go overboard into other ways of confusion.

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

Wow, that brings back memories. :) Hard to believe I'm coming up on two years since I've been to Montreal!

She is such a sweetie and has been a very big inspiration to me. I've followed her since she began her transition not too long after I purchased my current home. I'm sooooo happy for her, and glad to hear she's OK. I look forward to more of Julie's video's as she get's to feeling better. I myself will be going through this in a little over a year and a half to two so her experience will give me an idea of what I'm in for.

Thanks Auntie Shan for posting this.

I'm reeeaally soooo happy things are going well for her. Hopefully she's still OK and hasn't had any complications. I know she said in her video they kept her back in hospital for an extra day. Maybe she'll have time to make another video soon.

Hope you see this Julie!
