Hi. My name is Annie. I chose the name Annie Maier for this forum (not my real last name), since that was my grandmother's maiden name. I am simply a woman with a different past than most, grateful for who I am today and for what I have learned on my journey. I am employed as a software developer and reside in the northeastern US with my dog Sparrow. (Who would name a dog Sparrow?) I moved to the town where I reside just after my transition nearly 10 years ago. While I have chosen to live a stealth life, it recently occurred to me how selfish that can be, since it was as a result of forums on the Internet like this one that provided me the courage to become the woman I am today.
