I had my chest surgery yesterday (double incision) with dr medalie in cleveland. I'm in some pain, but I've got vicoden to help curb it a bit. I didn't get sick with the anesthesia at all, which is what I was really afraid of.

Yeah, it's great! I don't get to see my chest till friday, though... My whole bible study was against this, I've been getting phone calls and emails from them all weekend as they tried to convince me not to make this "huge mistake." Oh, and one of them thinks I'm doing the devils work or something to that extent. Lovely.

Congrats!  Must feel great.  Sounds like you might need to look for a different and more supportive group to study the Bible with, huh?

Wow... MAJOR Congrats dude!  Hope you're fully recovered soon and up to posting some pics!  And yeah... might give some thought about that group you're studying with...

Sweet dude, congrats! As for your bible friends, the fact that they called and emailed and everything shows that they care for you...maybe not the "you" that you really are and want to fully become...it will probably take time to get used to but hopefully they will come to see that the only reason there's a scene is because they make one, and that has nothing to do with you.

thanks guys! I'll post pics soon on transster and here. I've pretty much decided that the bible study and I have grown apart and it would be best for us to cut ties. I don't feel particularly sad about this decision- more disappointed.

I'm healing well, and I got my drains out today (hooray!). there's some swelling under my arms where the incisions end, but it's not too bad. The nipples look pretty good. I have to wear the surgical binder for another four weeks-- ick.

Glad to know you are healing well.  And I hope you don't have to cut your ties with the Bible Study group.  It might be just what they need.
