So this week I had  a really rough experience with a night out with my bestfriend of 18 years, I was 6 she was 4 when we met, and I feel completely betrayed, I stayed a night at her house this week ( she lives with her parents and siblings who are also close with me as I consider them all family) we went out one night to a bar ( me and Ashley) for # girls night, to a bar called styxx which is a gay club in Portland (lesbians, gat guys, lesbians, trans, the whole nine yards) and I was OK because I didn't want guys talk in to Us and figured, its a gay club, why would guys who life,e women talk to us. But she ended up meeting a guy, we chilled with him and at. First he seemed cool, we all three walked around d town that night talking for about 2 hours, he invited us to go to his car, but he was DRI king that night as were we all and I refused to get i into a car with a drunk driver, for both my and Ashley's sake. He then invited us to go to a hotel with him, and I was so against I' two girls and a guy in a hotel room, with one bed, it would look completwlt inappropriate, but Ashley wanted to go' and I only agreed because I was not gonna let my best friend I've known since I was 6 years old stay In a hotel with a guy she didn't even know. So we stayed, sadly for the night, we ordered pizza and wings from papa johns, passed out, and i woke up in the hotel alone they were both gone, I woke up 5 o clock in the morning walked home, and too her dad, I broke down and told him. And no its been 3 days and I cannot believe my best friend of 18 years abandoned me for some guy she met overnight

Sometimes people have a lapse in judgement, especially after a night out drinking or when aroused. Sounds like she was really into the guy, it's absolutely not cool of her to abandon you though.

Question, are you just saying it's been 3 days since the incident or that she's been gone for 3 days without checking in with anyone? If the latter then I'd be pretty concerned about whether she's ok.

To be honest, I'd be more concerned about her safety and whereabouts more than anything.  She hasn't been heard from in three days?  Is that just with you or everyone?

Everyone, I've been thinkingnof the weost, I know it sounds horrible but I keep thinking she's dead, drugged or on the side of the road somewhere.

Latoya, you did the right thing - refused to get into a car with a drunk driver, you looked out for your friend and stuck with her despite massive understandable reservations. Has she ever gone missing like this before? Hopefully the worst that has happened is that she has done something dumb like skip town with this guy for a short romantic fling and when she comes to her senses she'll come back and/or contact her family/you. Let's hope that's all that's happened. When you filed the missing person's report did you give the cops everything you could remember about the guy - the name he was using, what he looked like, what he was wearing, his car's colour and make? All that info will be useful in tracking her down.

That's awful Latoya! I'm sure you are sick to your stomach with worry. :(

I really hope she turns out to be ok. Have the police started an investigation yet?

Yeah, every piece of information matters, especially if done in a timely matter.  Sometimes the littlest thing can make a huge difference.

Latoya, I'm so sorry you are going through this.  I hope you're friend is okay.

Thank you all for the support, a private investigator contacted me, somehow he found out who the guy was by me telling his name and where he's from, fond out he's on probation and that he has a criminal record the probation officer sadi that he would keep an eye out on him make nothing happened to Ashley and know I do not know what kind of car because it was dark and that all I know is what I saw from a distance and the color of the car.

Has he put out an APB to police yet? He needs to in case the guy gets stopped on a traffic violation or something. The reason police need to be aware is that if the guy is stopped and he has harmed your friend he could shoot it out thinking it is because of her and not just a traffic stop. Police need to be aware for officer safety. Please tell the police agency to contact the investigator ASAP! I sure hope your friend is OK.

Latoya you have all my hopes your friend is OK. Hopefully she just wen't out of town on some crazy whim with this guy. However just in case as Jess said an apb needs to be issued on this guy just to keep everyone safe who may come in contact with him while looking for your friend. Please know your inmy prayers that your friend will be found OK.
