I can't help but wonder if having to behave like this is a component of the glass ceiling? We gals gotta give our ideas to men because they get all offended or dismiss us otherwise...

Very astute.

I haven't noticed this in particular, but I do find that I get ignored a lot more as a woman. All of that is part of the glass ceiling. Guys judge a woman on her looks. If she's attractive, she merits attention, if not, she doesn't, regardless of the content of the interaction.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Very astute.

I feel bad for generalizing to all guys but, there do seem to be a number of guys who do help to keep the ceiling in place...

And how they're in a hurry to complicate their mind
By chasing after money and dreams that can't come true
I'm glad that we are different, we've better things to do
May others plan their future, I'm busy lovin' you "

It absolutely is a component in the glass ceiling. That's why if there's a female managed place, I'd much rather work there. They're usually the offices that have a much more diverse bunch of employment and ideas in the work place. It sucks, but it is what it is. You either play their game or walk a dangerous tight rope.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.
