Hi everyone.  I'll be going to Montreal to see Brassard next summer.  I've been trying to find recent photo's of his results to know what to expect. However, all that I've been able to see are photo's back in 2006.  Has his technique improved or changed at all in this time?

I'm not sure where you're finding these photos, but if they're from Anne Lawrence's web site...

re: improvements since then, it's worth noting that some of Lawrence's pictures for him are *immediately* post-op, when everything is horrifying. Mine looked terrible for the first few weeks, too. The main distinction I note if I disregard those pictures is that the clitoral hooding and inner labia definition is better now, and the urethral mucosa lining both (for me at least) is a very natural pink. He also does a rudimentary posterior fourchette; not as good as you get with a two-stage procedure, but not out of the range of cis variations, which is good enough for me. I do have considerably smaller and "neater" inner labia than many of those photos, though whether that's an improvement is a matter of opinion - I like it, but that's my personal preference, not a general judgment.

(I'm not comfortable sharing photos of my genitalia either, so I know I'm part of the lack-of-pictures problem. But I'm willing to answer questions about the Brassard experience and results.)

What she said. If you do a face to face consultation they have result pics.

I am super happy with my bits along with my husband. A#1

Thank you Jenna Marie.  Yeah I found those pics from Anne Lawrence.  I totally understand that you wouldn't want to share pictures.  I e-mailed the clinic and they sent me a few more pics, but they are all immediately post op as well.  Does the inner labia and clitoral hooding get more defined over time?  Can Brassard make a longer inner labia wanted, either in the first surgery or later?

Katie : I really had a ton of swelling, so yes, for me the definition improved tremendously over the next year (and continues to do so slightly even at 2 years post-op). It's a shame they don't have any later-healed photos!

Brassard has free revisions for the first year and *will* do revisions (just cost money after the first year) forever. I'd think that if you want longer labia you should mention that up front, though, because once tissue is discarded there's no way to get it back - the only option to expand available skin later is skin grafts from elsewhere. So it's easier to trim inner labia than to expand them, and if you want them long, you'll have to request that he leave some extra skin to work with.

Though my experience, at least, has been that he gets it done beautifully in one stage; I never needed or wanted a revision. Probably if you want longer labia he can do that in the one stage too.

Dr. Brassard is probably the best in terms of aesthetics. I saw some results and they look superb. They have that rim look i want. After i have my srs here in germany(by an surgeon who does a similiar technique to dr.suporn) i will probably go to him for a corrective labiaplasty :P

Thanks everyone.  I'm glad to hear that he will do revisions for free if need be, but I guess if is able to take personal aesthetics into account for the surgery then it wont be needed.
