this world, and many of the people living in it often leave me rather disillusioned, but... it turns out that i'll often meet people who are able to say something really nice, encouraging, comforting or otherwise very helpful, just when i'm about to break down from anxiety over things which aren't really as important to other people as my fears tell me they probably are. or when i'm just feeling down and angry because nothing works the way it's supposed to.

and not only here on susan's. they're everywhere. right now i'm so glad because a really nice guy saved my day on the phone, and am once again reminded of this odd little video someone once linked where they showed how greatly the feeling of gratefulness to another person contributes to one's happiness.

seriously, i need to remind myself to ask for help when i need it, because i'll most likely get help, and feel really grateful to whoever it is that helped me, and that will wipe out all my anxiety and whatever depressed feeling i might have had.

and lastly, to all of you guys and gals here who have ever talked to me, noticed me, inspired me with your words, comforted me when i needed it, whether you know about it or not: thank you very much, you're worth more than all the gold in this world.

That's great Taka. And yes, it's always important to remember to ask for help - you've opened yourself up to the possibility that it can and could happen.

That's really great to hear and you're right, there are a lot of decent people in this world.  I unfortunately haven't had too many experiences that would lead me to believe so, but I know their out there, so I try to stay positive.  I'm probably just jaded as I had "people problems" as a teenage and sort of always feel like people just inherently don't care about me.  You're probably a pretty great person yourself and that always attracts positivity, so good for you.

Yea,  that, I understand.

To move forward is to leave behind that which has become dear. It is a call into the wild, into becoming someone currently unknown to us. For most, it is a call too frightening and too challenging to heed. For some, it is a call to be more than we were capable of being, both now and in the future.

Thanks for the lovely and uplifting post. :) The lesson that you have learned is one that I need to learn. I still suck at asking for help when I need it.
