Anyone know of a good online easy start guide to understanding transgender?

I want to be able to start educating some of my friends more about being transgender. I've found that many people I know don't really have any idea about this stuff. They still think that it means a guy that wants to chop off his penis or they are really just gay. This material would ideally be an easy read since many people aren't going to take the time to go deep into it and many don't read very well either. I know there's tons of stuff here on Susan's, but I don't really want to send them here since I spend time on these forums posting.

I definately think the reference library here is very useful. Especially the psychology part.

Have any of you read the book "I am J" by Cris Beam? It's a good book about a transgender teen--the first I've found.

I would recommend it to anyone who is trans or not. It is really good at expressing feelings of gender dysphoria, and has a character that is relatable to most young people so it could help.
