As a life long faerie fan, let me take this moment to introduce you to some of my favourite faeries:
The Nuckleavee is a water faerie that is responsible for epidemics, ruined crops, sickened livestock, and droughts. He looks kind of like a centaur, but much more gruesome. He has no skin, black blood, and yellow veins. He has a huge, gaping mouth and a giant, burning eye.
There are also, of course, various other water faeries know for tricking people and dragging them down beneath the water to drown and/or eat them.
You may have heard of Redcaps who murder travellers and dye their hats with the victims' blood.
Jack-in-Irons wears the heads of his victims.
Black Annis is a blue-face, clawed hag that likes to eat people, especially children.
As a fan of reapers, I'm sure you know of the close link between faeries and the dead in folklore. You've also probably heard of the Wild Hunt.
There are many, many more like that.
