13 cm.

Mine is 5.5 inch = 14 cm, but it is comfier than my 5 inch ankle boots, as it has 1-inch toe platform. 5 inch is too high for my feet (ouch!).

Nice heels, Barbie. It looks like I'll be taking the summer off from heel-wearing. I broke my big toe while moving wood around in the garage a couple of weeks ago. I have to wear flat sandals and step on back of my foot, which makes me look kind of hobbly. Avoid breaking your toe.

Lyric, take care of your big toe. As a runner, I have always got one or two wounds in my feet. Now my small toes are swollen. Fortunately, the strap of my new heels does not touch it.

Yes. It is risky to wear 4.5 inch heels, but it has 1 inch platform, not so much difficult to walk on.

On the day when the photo was taken, I passed a fishing market with my colleague at  night. I was a little bit drunken, but I could walk without any problem. And all of about 40 women who were selling fish there turned their heads and watched me. Nearly all of them commented on me, but I could not hear, except the one like "She walks gallantly." My colleague later commented that he was surprised that so many women watch me, and added that usually women watch me more than men in the street. Probably I was the tallest in the market, as my height looked like 6' 5" (195 cm).

For better walking I plan to decrease my weight by 2 kg (4.4 lbs). Currently my weight is > 67 kg, and my goal is 65 kg. At 65 kg (143 lbs), I can walk on high heels like a ballerina. The difference of 2 kg (4.4 lbs) is actually huge in walking on heels.

TheQuestion

I'm 6'0" even and I'd love to be able to wear heels, but I'm not sure if I will ever.  I'm a size 10 men's and have bought a 12 women's and I sort of walk out of them.  I'm probably more of a size 11 women's or possible a 10 if I push it...

I'm also 6'0" and wear US women's 10 shoes. If the 'wide' size is available, then the size 10 women's sandals will be fine for your feet. For high heel pumps, add 1 or even 2. Sandals are more flexible in size than pumps.

I'm pretty sure you'd wear usually wear a womens 11 (USA sizes). I wear a 9 1/2 mens and 10 1/2 womens is about right for me, if I can find it. Half sizes are scarce in larger sizes, though, but I can get by with an 11 for boots by wearing socks.

You just need some practice. Search YouTube for good videos on walking in heels. With heels you want to take small steps and keep your feet closer together.

My new high heel sandals got a lot of scratches after walking in the stony yard. I am a little bit sad.

Well, you were just breaking them in, I guess. That's not really ideal terrain for heels like that, though.

As I live in a volcanic island, there are many igneous stones everywhere. It is inactive, but the culture here is based on that.
Probably I have better wear flat sandals in my hometown.

I'm 5'3 and would wear them on occasion if I could... only because they'd look good with the outfit over anything else I have. Unfortunately I'm having a lot of gait issues, possibly due to a lesion in my brain, that keeps me from wearing them.
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

I'm 6foot tall, size us14, and LOVE my high heels... Most of my collection consists of 5" heels (Never platforms though).
The height issue bugs me a bit, but its something one has to get used to I guess.

I also love heels, and prefer 3", and occasionally wear 4" if they fit me feel. But the more shoes I try, the more new styles I like. There is something about walking in heels, it just feels right though. Finding the right size is always complicated, specially for close shoes (peep toes are more forgiving). If I could i would wear them every day.
