I can kind of identify where Kate is coming from. I am slowly starting to accept myself though.
I've started seeing a psych, and have started some taking small steps to transition. I've started to grow my hair and get rid of body hair. I am going to ears pierced within the next few weeks. I am starting to take one step at a time and address my issues.
I've never had an overly masculine body. I am quite slim and dont have much muscle mass.
I was a late starter to puberty. I didn't really get much facial hair to the point I needed to shave, until I was in my 20s. Even now I can get away with shaving twice a week. I wonder if I have had low testosterone levels.
I havent started HRT yet. But I wonder that when I do start, I could get positive results?
I hate my hair. It grows think and almost wooly like. Is HRT likely to affect my hair?

I am one of the "even 50" transitioners you mentioned. Even at 50 HRT is working it's magic and I have never been misgendered when presenting as female. In male mode I recently got my first male fail.

Mentally things are so much better than before. At 34 you will have no issues with a transition.
