Hello, I am fortunate that I don't really have an adam apple but I have a thick neck even though I am not really "big"... I was wondering if there was some surgery to solve my problem, and get a thinner neck, also how much usually cost removing facial hair?

The neck is mostly muscle. There's no way any surgeon would operate to remove muscle in order to reduce size for cosmetic reasons.

HRT should reduce the neck size to some degree. Your best bet is to lose as much of your guy weight (both fat and muscle) as you safely can and then return to your normal lifestyle and let the weight come back under the influence of estrogen. Both fat and muscle will resurface in female areas. I did this with great results.

The cost of facial hair removal will vary to electrolysis or laser professionals in your area. Call around and ask how much they charge per session.

I was concerned about the same thing. I have to say also it is one of the first things I noticed after starting HRT- my neck shrank at an alarming rate. It does a LOT for feminization in my opinion.

So basically don't worry about needing surgery for that. It is one of the things I can say with almost 100% confidence that HRT will take care of it for you :)

Any plans to start HRT? I saw in your intro that you are pre-everything

Oh that's nice because I remember seeing on tv some type of surgery to get a thinner neck but maybe it was for wrinckle on your neck, so it's whatever... It wasn't such a big problem before because I had longer hair and I couldn't notice it much but now it's more evident thanks for the help! I can't start HRT right now because I am not independent yet and my family won't approve.

Hi Emily,

If that's you in your avatar, you look very feminine already. Can I be rude and ask how old you are?

In the beginning I was also thinking about neck surgery, but luckily, my neck became significantly thinner due to HRT - I lost about 10-11 cm (4 inches), so I don't think you should worry about it :)
Better keep focused on your overall well-being. Neck thickness is just a detail, that will fix itself :)

If you can't start HRT, when how could u even start thinking about some crazy neck surgery that probably doesn't extist? Baby steps Hun, I would say focus on being independent right now so you don't have to ask your parents for permission, then get on HRT and then you'll see how many positive changes HRT can make (you will have to be patient tho!! 1-2 years needed)
