Hey guys, I'm new here but have been a stealth FTM for a long while.

So, I'm not one to post ever on these sorts of sites but I'm getting desperate. I ordered a reelmagic packer recently, and while I'm waiting for my order to get filled I decided to experiment and see if it was really going to be the thing that gives me freedom in the way I think it should.

So far, I'm depressingly disappointed. I decided to try out a few adhesives on my PeeCock and all this has resulted in is a gooey sticky mess and and object that falls right off. I've followed the directions exactly, I've tried reelmagic and Hollister now. Is there any glue that actually works? I'm active. I run, I lift weights, swim and do advanced yoga I'd like something to stick, preferably sweat proof.

ReelMagic's worked best (but it still wouldn't stick without a harness. Even if the reelmagic packer is lighter, this doesn't bode well for the damn thing staying in place and not leave a pile of goo in my underwear.) Hollister's didn't work even a little, it just slid off without pause.

To be clear the steps I've followed are: Shave, use alcohol to remove any soap, let dry, apply adhesive to the packer, let stand 5 minutes, apply.

It fell off right away so I let it sit another 15 minutes, hoping that I just hadn't let it dry long enough. I reapplied and then kept it in the harness for another 40 minutes, as soon as the harness was removed it fell off. I might as well be trying to glue it on with soap.

Any advice? Is there another glue that might work better? Should I just give up and accept that I wasted a good 600 dollars on a useless item?

I know a few people here say it works great for them, am I doing it wrong?

Any advice would be great, this whole changing at the gym thing, and worrying about how whatever thing I have stuffed down my shorts is sitting in any particular moment, the grossness of wearing a harness and the aggravation about having to worry about upsetting the device in my shorts is wretched.

I wouldn't worry.

I haven't tried the Reelmagic prosthetics, but I know a fair bit about adhesives.

General-purpose adhesives just don't work on silicone. In fact, almost nothing sticks to silicone; it's used as a mold release in a lot of manufacturing processes for that very reason. Reelmagic sells an adhesive that's specifically made for the silicone used in their products; if it didn't work, they'd be out of business.

I don't see how you'd attach the peacock with an adhesive. Prosthetics like RM have a tab that otherwise serves no purpose but to attach the the prosthetic with. The peacock doesn't have any tab at all. There is a rim around the cup kind of, but it's way way too thin to attach anything with. Some of the criticism of the RM is that the tab is too thick or not large enough, so there is going to be a huge problem with the peacock.

^ I agree.  The Peecock isn't designed to adhere to the skin.

Thanks, this makes me feel a whole heck of a lot better. I'll just have to wait it out and do my best to be patient while they fill the order. Too bad their stuff is so expensive, and dries out in the container but that's a bridge I'll have to cross at a later date. I appreciate the response.

The tab isn't so much of an issue imo, but rather what Tysilio says here that I'll bet is the problem. I find there is plenty of surface area to work with on the peecock.

All the adhesives suck. :(  Some prosthetics put a backing on the tab for the adhesive to stick to; but these are hard and scratchy (IMO) and the whole process of shaving, glueing, removing, etc is a huge PIA. I know, I glued a small packer to myself for a couple of months way back when.  Never had any luck whatsoever getting the fuller sized pack/play prosthetics to stick. And the couple times they stuck for a few minutes, just the act of bending over had them hanging unnaturally and ridiculously off my pubic skin.  :(  I dislike harnesses but much better option than that!  I eventually gave up; the time and effort and mess just wasn't worth it.

I wouldn't necessarily agree that a couple people who are able to do it prove that this is really all that doable. A lot of people can't even get RM to stick, and it was *designed* to stick. Most *tabs* aren't enough surface area and aren't flat enough to really work that well. I agree with sneakers jay also on how unpleasant it is. And I hate shaving that area it's itchy and nasty feeling.

But don't let me stop you. If you want to pay $50+ for RM adhesive or something that might be a little bit cheaper, go ahead. But don't say we all didn't warn you.

I don't think anything anyone would have said would have stopped me.  I *needed* to try it because I *needed* it to work.  And I paid top dollar for one of my prosthetics (brand new company, one of the first sold) and saw the price tumble after that and now they are defunct.  Prosthetic isn't horrid, but not as great as advertised.  Got a better deal on an FTM prosthetic from Australia because at the time the exchange rate was in my favor.  Much better product; just wish they had more options (styles).  Maybe I should email them some suggestions.

Well that's a true statement! Don't have personal experience with FTM prosthetics though, and actually can't use a prosthetic anyway.

It's a bit late to hear that now, I'm already committed. For the particular packer which I was referencing, no, I do not believe is the surface area is the issue. I can not speak for that on RM's or other packers since I have not seen them in person.

Before I made the choice for the investment I did a fairly large Internet search for feedback. This forum was included. I think in only found one post complaining that it didn't stick, which someone replied with application advice. It is possible those posts simply don't show up in a search, or that I missed them somehow.

If I had actually been warned, that may have colored my decision to buy it.

For now I guess it's a wait and see thing for me. If it sticks great, if not then I guess I just invested in a very pretty underwear stuffer. The glue for the items that didn't stick I felt was more comfortable than the harness, shaving doesn't bother me much. I'll post some feedback on it in the forum when I do finally receive it.

idk how well adhesives work, never tried, but as much as i hate harnesses it does the job, but I use a boxer harness lol it works well for me and doesn't make me as dysphoric cause it just looks like a guy with boxers on and a penis sticking out, so could try that if the adhesives don't work

Another option: commando style? I think that it can looks natural. There's no harness and you don't have to look at the tab to skin area difference. Most packer/prosthetic shafts look better than the ball sack anyway. It's a good thing to try with various packers and prosthetics perhaps. (I can't due to not being able to have skin to skin contact at all.)

BTW, not sure I was literally talking about every square inch of surface area of the Peecock. I'm sure there is a lot going all the way around you and all. But I would guess this wouldn't work for most folks anyway. It's how flat and wide the area is to enable you to get some adhesion. That's why prosthetics have tabs, which don't always work anyway.
If you can get it to work, more power to you. But I would guess if you can then you are not in the majority. Just saying this as I know many people read these and think forewarned is forearmed.  :)

I'm not sure what you mean by commando style, but I'm curious.

While I'm excited to be getting a packer that looks realistic, my largest priority is having a packer which looks realistic in my pants, or in underwear. A depressingly hard thing to find.

I end up altering my mr limpys quite a lot. The one I wear daily now for example I've taken an old one, cut off the balls and put them on the back so they would would form a whole form....then I cut away 1/3 of the shaft so it didn't look like I was half hard all the time.

On the peacock, to explain....the whole thing is quite large for me to begin with, I'm a small person. And as the product has aged it's lost it's utility in the restroom as it no longer holds a seal, so I just use the cup as a way to hold it in place better now. It'd work great if the glues worked on it, but sadly I don't think the silicone it's made out of is going to glue to much anything.

On the upside of things the glue adhered my underwear to my lower stomach painfully well so maybe the reelmagik will work after all? Only time will tell. I hope to the high heavens it does.

What did you use to connect the balls from the old packer to the other packer?

Sticking out from underwear, so the balls are inside and the shaft is outside. I think going commando is actually going without underwear, but I was just referring to shaft out. You could make a hole in the underwear and sew an o-ring and slip the shaft out. THere are tutorials on youtube how to do this.

Ohh I gotcha. In a lot of situations I just stuff the whole darn thing into the fly pocket, then safety pin the holes shut so it doesn't fall out. A similar idea it sounds like. This sounds like a decent way to pack and play though.

I don't, they're naturally sticky enough, and the way I pack prevents them from falling out, or too far apart.
