How do you tell your parents who don't know about your SRS?

Long story short, I started living on my own when I was 19 (currently 23). My parents separated and don't talk with each other.

My mom's been extremely supportive, and although my dad loves and cares about me, he's not interested in anything to do with helping or talking about my transition.

While my mom is up to date on my scheduled SRS (this July), my dad has absolutely no idea about it.

Does anyone have experiencing with letting your parents, family, etc., know about your SRS when they were in the dark about it?

Just tell your dad your having surgery and leave it up to him to support you or not.

Agreed, your dad from what you wrote doesn't seem to be that interested or involved with your transition, so yea, just tell him your having surgery, and let him take it from there.

My parents know very little of my hospitalizations. I felt no reason to tell them. If you want them to know, tell them.
