Well it's like how they say that if you look at anything it looks like it's part of some plan. Like the whole movie is based on building loose connections between stray events to have fun with your imagination. It's a fine movie to like sit and be entertained by.
I remember because I have actually done religious studies, that they were playing very loose with the "facts" so that it fit the connections they were trying to make. If something didn't quite fit, they didn't not use it, they just got rid of the parts they didn't like and kept going.

Joseph Campbell actually hits at some of the underlying themes in his work without becoming a conspiracy nut. Like there are some thematic similarities that fall through all human consciousness for obvious sociological reasons. Unfortunately this movie is pretty lazy academically, and is more interested in a fast point than a good one.
Like their rundown of things that Horus did is not correct and is based almost wholly on a source that is academically scorned. like so much of the first part if you've ever taken any religious studies, or studied egypt or anything you would just know to be stretching it, at least in the cases where they aren't just flat wrong.
