I'm going to try to be as professional about this as possible, so i wont be using euphemisms lol. Feel free to use it in your response but I just hope this post isnt too invasive in terms of word-usage.

I was just in the bathroom and as I was pulling my underwear and my pants back on, I noticed something different about my "genital area".

Something I've always noticed (and am now beginning to notice about my own area down there) in pictures ive seen of other transwomen... it looks as though the area is becoming more "vaginal" shaped... not that the penis is inverting or anything silly like that... but the surrounding fat or tissue is shaping in a way that looks less male-groin shaped and more female-gap shaped... to add to that, i've also noticed that fully transitioned women who are pre-op, their genitals hang "lower" than it use to or than it is normally. almost like it is getting into the position of where the vagina would be, and no longer being positioned as high as a penis might be.

I realize this is probably a strange and awkward question; but i seem to have curiosities in the "out there" type of topics lol so as i'm noticing this change in position and surrounding areas of my own "downstairs" (dammit, i couldn't help myself)... I'm wondering; is this a result of HRT fat distribution? or could be related to tucking being a more frequent thing than before that is perhaps pushing it lower? or could it also be related to pelvic tilt or maybe differences in walking? When i walk now, my butt sticks out more naturally; when im standing against a wall, instead of my back beings straight up against the wall, there is a gap between my butt and my shoulders, almost like a small arch ~ could it be related to that?

I'm honestly just insatiably curious :D anyone have any theories? or am I just "seeing things" lol

Maybe this was TOO awkward a questions  :icon_redface: :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

Can't say I've noticed such a change directly but then I've massively changed my pelvic floor area due to ballet and deep muscle core exercising so it's hard to judge. Most likely effect would be fat changes and stretching due to tucking.

I thought I was the only one who noticed this happening. I was told this was fat redistribution by the Endo. At least it is visual progress! :)

The pelvic thing I was told was the ligaments adjusting under HRT to female size.

My endo has told me I should prepare for what Jessica said in advance.
Monkeymel, how did Balet changed it for you?

Ms Grace

Yes, possibly. Haven't paid all that much attention to be honest. Have noticed that my pubes have a more female coverage shape (inverted triangle) than before. ::)

Jessica said what I wanted to say. Additionally, hair distribution some times becomes more vaginal (depending on how your body hair responds to hormones); women tend to have an inverted triangle shape (flat on the top) and men tend to have more of a typical triangle shape (somewhat dully pointed on top). The scrotum and testicles lose size over time, and less notably, the penis loses some size as well. The peno-scrotal raphe (the line that runs down the underside of the penis and over the scrotum) darkens.
Why do I always write such incredibly long posts?

Yeah, I don't know. This hasn't happened to me, and I'm intersex. But, I did have a problem in this area when I was three and was hospitalized for a year and wasn't allowed to walk or anything. Glad I don't remember. And they operated on me. So, it could be a thing.

I have heavy gonad atrophy and some penis length loss. I was small before and really small now.

My gonads pre-hrt were mostly retracted up and only down when it was really warm. They are always up now and really small :)

I noticed the hair and fat rounding of the area too.

I don't frequently examine down there, but I have noticed what you're describing Emily. Also in checking right now I think my hair down there does look kind of like an inverted triangle. I never really looked closely before HRT. So I couldn't tell you if it looked differently then.

The pubis mons area will take on a more fatty type growth and hair pattern will change to a more female type this happened to me this is normal so dont worry.

I don't know, haven't looked at enough vaginas to compare.  :o Maybe I should, for educational purpose, of coarse.

I don't think much changed down there, if so I don't see it because I still see IT. But while on the hormones I can say everything gets smaller, but the moment off them for too long everything starts growing back to original size and function, that's all I notice really. As for the shape of everything, hair pattern and how it all hangs, I never bothered to examine such a detail, didn't think to log the before and after for this area of my body either, wish I would've. But I think all these years of an almost constant tucked state, this may contribute to how things look down there, as well as body fat redistribution. And if things did change with how much back arches, and if my pelvis actually tilted, then perhaps down there things may look different from before, but it was so gradual and minute that I never noticed the changes.

And yeah, when I stand up against a wall, big arch between shoulders and butt. I don't know how much of a gap there was before HRT, but I had a very small flat ass, I went straight down (both sides along hips as well as backside; I have more of a curved figure now), and while I don't have a really fine booty, I do like it (I certainly look at it enough).  ::)

hey,
interesting topic :)
after almost 1 year in HRT i realized the same thing you explained. furthermore i had the impression that there´s a kind of hole developing under the arch i see from above... in my theory, probably it´s wrong, i ve no idea :) - it can relate to the fat distribution, cause the whole body shape is basically changing into a more feminine shape. so why not also your genital area. for me, it sounds really logically.

what i also recognize is the arch i see on the upper area of my genitals and it´s really kind of vaginal shaped ... especially when i´m lying on my back, it is much more visible and a bit higher - but i like that actually :)

I "grew" up with Hypogonadism, and I haven't had any changes except atrophy on my "thing".

I had noticed something similar, but it seemed mostly like fat redistribution - that the pubic mons itself gained more fat, which a) made everything else look smaller and b) sorta pushed things down a bit (which makes sense; enough fat in that area = less room for what used to be there).  Add to that the female pubic hair pattern and it did look more and more like a woman's groin area, except with some unfortunate additions. Incidentally, I can also attest that when I went off HRT for surgery, within a week my penis had inflated back to its regular size and returned *somewhat* to its original position.

I also have the pelvic tilt from getting a butt; when I stand against a wall, I also have that arch in my lower back now. No idea what that did to my genitalia, though.

For anyone who's curious about this part, yes, that did mean that post-op everything looked precisely normal, disregarding swelling. It was *very* nice to see a female mons and then nothing dangling...
