As an Aussie I have come across lots of funny misconceptions, so I thought it would be a laugh to post stuff about each others countries, towns, states etc.

But this is for fun so nasty stuff please. (Or I'll clobber you)

Conception: Kangaroos abound (!) in Australia
Truth: no mainly in wildlife parks, zoos or the outback

Question: Americans eat hamburgers every day
Truth:?

Belgium doesn't exist.

""Belgian" citizens are actually innocent (for the most part) people (for the most part) that have been kidnapped by the New World Order's Belgian Conspiracy division and brainwashed using psychotronic mind control, psychotropically enhanced beer, and neurolinguistic programming into believing that they are Belgians. All memories of their past lives have been repressed -- replaced with implanted false memories of superior Belgian lives."

English, most of us drink tea!

Truth, many prefer coffee, Yorkshire my home region makes its own tea (Yorkshire tea ironically) Something I didn't know existed until last year. (Even then I Assumed it was made elsewhere and only coincidently shared its name with Yorkshire).
