I know there is such a diverse view on being transgender . It's up to our own choosing to see our selves as we seem fit. I just find the word transgender best describes who I am. I started out life as a little boy who dreamt of being a girl . I lived my life in a male persona with a female soul. The best time of my life is when I have female friends. I'm living now as a woman and loving it. I just don't like the idea of negating my past because of the male. I've had an interesting life even though it's been painful because my brain was different from my body. There's things I could of seen as a female , but never will, but there's tremendous personal things I've experienced that can be classified as genderless as being experienced absolutely rather then contingently . If I was born female physically , how beautiful that would of been , but my life has really been good in a lot of ways and I'm so grateful for whatever the reason I have this short existence. I'm so thankful also that I'm able to experience my true life. I also thank everyone on Susan's and Susan herself for this site because it's been so helpful. just a small little rant ,Don't mind me, I just am happy in my new dress.

I know I'm not the only one who says, "we love you steph". Keep on keeping on.

You deserve this happiness.

Stephanie, I feel exactly the same as you do. I would have had a different life if I'd been born in the right body, but it's easy to forget the benefits and blessings, both of living the life that I've had, and of transitioning.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Hey, that's a really positive attittude about it, makes me feel happy that you feel that way. I am in a similar situation though younger, but me on the other hand am feeling really ->-bleeped-<- about it all now and feel like nothing's worth much at the moment, which sounds even more pathetic bearing in mind that you went through all that for many more decades that I did and feel alright. Big kudos for you :).

well, to be honest it's taken a lot of work to feel good. I've been through quite a lot of therapy and privately struggling to figure this thing out .
