Hi all ... I just had to share today's experience somewhere, so this looks like the best place!

I finally too everyone's advice today and went to our State Capitol (Concord, NH) and visited Zoe & Company ... Great Choice!  A really nice experience.  They were so helpful, and the girl helping me told me that they have helped a fair number of guys with a professional bra fitting.  Zero feeling of discomfort.

I've never been professionally fitted before, but I've been wearing a bra since the mid '80s ... Can you believe that?  I have bought bras in stores (in packages) without trying them on (because it's hard to do that), and more recently on-line.  When they come, some fit, some don't.  Off to the good-will pile they go, brand new.  I'm sure someone likes getting them, but I've been throwing money away ... So it was really nice to find this store.

The girl did a fitting, then had me try on more than I could count and I ended up with 3 nice new ones that fit me perfectly.  I was off by 4" on the band size I was buying, and 2 Cup sizes (which are proportional to band size.)  46C was wrong, 42DD is correct.  Wow.  I was surprised, but she was right.  Now I know where to go for ALL future purchases.  They keep my preferences and size on file, and are more than willing to focus on my preferred styles.

I would recommend this experience for anyone in this forum ... There must be similar stores in many locations, but in case you can't find one, Concord, New Hampshire is nice this time of year!  Roberto
It took a lot of doing, but I take a lot of pride in what I am.

I've read somewhere that MOST girls wear the wrong bra size. Getting a professional measurement done periodically is best.

Never heard of Zoe's, I'll have to tell some ladies I know up that way about it then.

I found a bunch of blogs online about how to PROPERLY size yourself and there's an awful lot of info. I'm doing quite well for myself, and frankly, don't know if I would have the courage to have a fitting. I'd post the links but I don't think I'm allowed.....

I have never had a fitting, and would love a good one, but by using a decent guide I was finally able to get solid advice and it helped a lot. The guide I used was able to pinpoint the correct size (I had been way off) and also suggest the styles that would suit me best. Couldn't be happier now! :)

I envy your self-confidence and level of comfort to be able to do that, Roberto.  I would never be able to do that.  Kudos to you.
