It was a very well-trained owl. Alas, he'd lost my Hogwart's letter.

Quote from: CandiceSkirvin on June 10, 2014, 04:50:45 PMI went hiking with my boyfriend and we hiked about 5 miles through the forest.  Loved every moment.  :-)
I got eaten alive by mosquitoes, both ways on my 3 mile roundtrip walk, about 3/4 of it through the forest, to the store. Every exposed part of my body has bites on it, even a few on my face...

Well, on to what made me happy at today. A conversation with the man at the deli counter.
"Half a pound of the turkey, please"
"Half a pound, so only a little bit. You live alone"
"Yeah, I do." (I intentionally left out my roommate, as I barely interact with her and she should be on the way out in a few days)
"What a shame."
I would have asked him to coffee if he was closer to my age :P

It was a good day at work today and on my way home, for the first time ever in my life, I found money besides change, I found, a whole, $1.
My reaction (roughly)

"Denial will get people no where."
"Don't look to the here & now but rather, to the unknown future & hope on that vs. the here & now."

Hm, I would have taken that as threatening lol. Like omg he knows I live alone is he going to kill me. But I'm too paranoid.

Today is my busiest day of the month at work. Sort of like PMS.
Now it's done for the month I can flush it away until next time.

Next time I will be in Manilla, so guess I will miss it next month.

Will have to prepare training and tests for them while there.
I feel mean but they need tough tests.

Looks like I will need lots of patience. Any volunteers?
Be warned I not a doctor but will try anything.
So long and thanks for all the fish

Sorry, branding irons aren't my thing.

Seriously though, what kind of training do you do?

Work in finance doing performance.
Have to train a team in Manilla to take our jobs.
Worked in performance for 15 plus years now.

I can make 2 + 2 equal anything I want and prove it. ;D
Can you?

Nice, considering I am a trained Geologist.
So long and thanks for all the fish

2+2=5 in instances of very large values of 2

The fact that I'm blessed to have 3 close friends makes me happy.

Found out I'm going to a Lambda Legal event tomorrow night.   My wife is now affiliated with them, as their last liason to her firm recently retired.  It's kind of sad that her firm only has 2 partners left in her office that are LGBT.  At least we get a table with two of our really cool and fun friends, hear a speaker who is a transwoman and enjoy an open bar.

(Bad Jill... Step away from the bar!)

I joined the forum today and made a post where I was honest about my past. I feel better already just because I shared this with someone else, I was so tired of carrying this secret around! The only question I have now is how to be authentic about my transition and detransition in my real daily life.

My dog for distracting me with some fun play time. Shantel and Jessica for their support. Worn out from all the crying today, but calm and doing better.

So we were planning my coverage while I'm away training a team in Manila and client service person comes down and interrupts urgently with a client issue.
Seem to think something's wrong with an important report.
Darn what did I miss?
Look at the data and realise it's the client who is confused and not my data. Resolved the issue and panic averted.
Poor client does not know I will be away for a month. Don't think they would approve.

Later in the day my analyst who will be stepping up to cover comes over for a chat and wants to thank me for everything I have done to help him over the past 6 months as I do so much more that the others. While he is nervous about me going away he is in a good place to step up.

Flights confirmed as now direct with no stop over. Saves half a day.

Busy but good day.

Now to work on the training plan and tests >:-)
So long and thanks for all the fish
