So I went to a friends open house today and I've known him for quite sometime and know he's all grown into a man, And everyone was congradulating him, Ill admit I got alittle envious and dysphoric and it made me really not want to have an open house because for one everyone is gonna be calling me all the wrong things and because of my lack of support I have to wait for T, So I wouldn't really be happy, I mean is normal not to want one.

For my graduation I only had my very close friends (2) and my mom and siblings come. My mom tried to invite some of my distant family but I told her that they don't know me and I wasn't comfortable with it. I knew It'd be up to me to explain why they were using a different name for me and why I look so different. If you really cannot avoid it, just ask if you can be upfront about your preferred name/pronouns 'I go by Brandon now, thanks for coming' If you can't avoid, ask for compromise.

I didn't have a graduation party or even go to my graduation ceremony.

I think it's very normal not to want one. I never had one for my high school or bachelors, and I am not even planning to walk for my masters, because I am guessing my name change might not happen in time.  I can see how this could be a stressful and dysphoric situation. I think that's a totally normal situation. It's your degree and your accomplishment. You should be able to choose how you wanna celebrate and handle the situation.

I didn't have one. I kinda feel the same as you, glad I don't have to deal with family members treating me like a girl. In my family's case, a girly girl. I don't know why my grandmother can't understand why I don't like pink.
Anyways, I didn't want one, I didn't have one, no regrets.
