I did see that. I think it is great! I hope they get on with changing the procedure so I can change mine. I'm having surgery soon anyway but it will be nice to have it done anyway.

Indeed. I plan on getting surgery eventually, but considering how poor I am and the fact that it's not covered in the province I'm living in, it's going to take a few years. Since my birth certificate is from Alberta, I can at least get that changed sooner.

Yeah. Also, on the topic of that kid (as I know he's been in a few news stories now), I have to question his parents' judgment as well as the media that cover these stories. I am glad that he is being accepted by them and they are supporting him and trying to make a difference and raise awareness, but what happens if he wants to be stealth one day? And he very well might be. Being the "trans one" can really weigh down on someone and at some point in his life, he may want a reprieve.

In other news, I have purchased some very juicy apricots lol. I've made a big mess. I also got some radishes which I haven't had in forever and some carrot and celery.

I'm so confused. Do I use my new name or old? I'm afraid that if I use my new name it will complicate things. But if I use my old name does that mean I'm not using my legal name? But that's the whole point is I haven't been able to change my name with social security, just with the state.

Thinking of a male name to use that goes with my strange last name. In the end, I decided to go with Daniel. I also discovered a place where I can get gender therapy, bloodwork and hormone therapy at little to no cost. Transitioning is apparently closer than I thought!

I wish I had a chocolate chip cookie or two right now, but I'm out of flour.

I've been craving candy for the past few days. The kind of really sugary candy that I haven't had in years because they started giving me migraines. Like Nerds. I really want some Nerds. I wonder why I've been craving them.

I read something part of which was "You enter the forest at the darkest point where there is no path. Where there is already a path is someone else's path. Your adventure is in forging your own path." (It's talking about individual lives sort of thing.) Right now, I feel like I see a whole lot of paths of people (fictional mostly) who I am similar to, but have no idea where I should go to forge my own. I know who I am, of course. I just am having trouble seeing how I could ever be me in the real world.

Some people should not be allowed to bet. I am not talking about problem gambelers, for them I wish I could fill out the betcare forms myself as it can be an addiction, and some of us do need to be protected.

Bouncing back   My daughter apologised today for her attack on my transition and the effect it was having on her. She said that it was dealing with so many TS patients that had triggered her attack.  All good.  As so often happens there was something else going on and a parent ends up becoming an unwitting and easy target for venting.
