Congress returned from its summer recess this week and the House promptly launched hearings into the long-suffering Employment Non-Discrimination Act, which would ban workplace discrimination against gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees.

Among those who spoke before the Subcommittee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions of the Committee on Education and Labor were gay Reps. Barney Frank (D-Mass.) and Tammy Baldwin (D-Wisc.).
