Well I came out to my Dad a bit earlier than expected (he found out when my mom and I where talking about it). And now He won't use my preferred name, he'll say things like "We don't know if you're trans yet" and whenever my mom and I discuss it in front of him, or when I try to talk about it with him he tries to change the subject, Is he just going through some sort of denial phase or something? I'm also worried that he'll be a blabbermouth about my being Trans, since the town I finished HS in, and the town they still live in is very conservative, and quite a few people are anti-LGBT.

I thought at first it was because I was going to change my surname when I changed my first and middle, since my surname is both my parent's combined, it's annoyingly long to write, and the half i'm keeping is my mom's, But I don't think my mom and I have ever discussed changing my surname with him.
