Really trying not to make this any more graphic than it needs to be.

This morning I had an appointment for labs and it included needing to provide a urine sample. Oh what a messy affair that was! I don't get a stream, I get 2-4, and they start/stop at random. That was with holding my labia apart while doing so (as the tech instructed.) Any ideas on how to make this a bit easier?

It might be lingering swelling... but it might also be anatomy; a few cis women have this problem, too.

If you can't control it (and the only trick I know is pulling labia way apart), then you might have to request a wider-mouthed receptacle. Oh, and it sometimes does help to have to pee a lot, and that you can test at home - see if a forceful stream is better than otherwise.

Ive found arching my back and squatting seems to stop the spray but gg do suffer from this aswell.

if im desperate for a pee the stream comes out better as it has more power to it..

Even when it's Must. Pee. Now. I get the spray (it's worse then - it can get onto my thighs.)

It really isn't affecting my daily life.

They do not give you a paper dixie cup to use. the place i use gives all the females one.

So suggestion is to maybe have one in your purse.

What they gave me was a plastic version of that - a standard disposable plastic drinkng cup that could probably hold about 5 or 6 fluid ounces.

Hi.

Please do not think I am being flippant, but this is the first time I have read anything which I also have experience of.

I had my surgery 3.1/2 months ago and although I have several acquaintances who have gone through their own journeys it is nice to hear that other people have the same difficulties.

My problem now is that I used a large amount of loo paper just to dry myself off!

When I mentioned this to a cis girl I know she simply said, "welcome to womanhood".

I'm afraid I can offer no solution (no pun intended).
