hey everyone, so about how many sessions did you all need before you could get away w/o shaving each day?? I have had four treatments but I still shave every morning...and the place i go to says they recommend 6 treatments...I don't think I'll be good in just two more treatments...

Thanks,

Phoenyx

After 10 switch to electro. Laser did not eliminate shaving for me.

Well, I've had like 10-11 laser sessions and a couple of hours of electrolysis.  Almost all of my hair is gone, but I *still* need to shave daily.  For the next laser session, they want me to let my facial hair grow out beforehand so they can see if I have any dark hair areas left.  It may just be that I need a few hours of electro and then I'd be done.

Same here.  Laser isnt a permanent hair removal method.  It can retard hair growth for a few years but hairs come back with vengeance.  Alternating electrolysis and laser is OK for peeps that want faster results.  If time is not a concern, electrolysis alone is the best approach.

Again, like I said, this is not necessarily true for everybody.  I have heard from more people personally who had issues with electrolisis in the long run than laser.  They are about on the same level as each other.

Also hair color matters a great deal.  Laser is for DARK hair.  There are people with lighter hair colors getting less than perfect results.

Also if there is not a regrowth of some type in a couple of years, it simply does not happen.  Laser does not retard growth for a couple of years any more than electro.

I could go on.  But electrolysis cost is also prohibitively expensive.  Laser is permanent, but it requires dark hair, a good tech and a decent laser to be permanent.

Laser retarding hair growth is now a fallacy based on the first generation of laser (particularly when done by an unexperienced person).  I've been having both laser and electro done and I don't know if this is just me or due to using laser, but I have ended up with perfectly smooth matte skin (just like a GG has).  I think if I had only done electro, I would have ended up with the more typical TS skin, which looks shiny and somewhat pitted.

Well, if needs be <after the 4th laser session> I can go two or 3 days with out shaving... It grows back in so slow it takes that long for it to become visably noticable...  I do shave most every day though because tactialy I hate the feeling of those patches of roughness so........

<YOu know, we have all these questions and arguments about lasers and the generation of the lasers and so on... maby we should do some major research and actualy set up a chart/table faq bassed on well... a combonation of facts and experiance  :D >

Laser is perminant hair reduction not removal bassed on 6-8 sessions overall...  Because nomatter what the laser is going to miss a few hairs here and there....  though I know of people who have gone 3 years or more with out shaving after being zapped a truly sutable number of times over a longer period of times...

Laser is considered permanent hair reduction AND REMOVAL
There is a your results may vary aspect, but the truth is, if you have dark hair, it will work very well and will probably be permanent.

Ashley --- you had the same results as I ....  I can go two to three days now...

However the longer I let it go now the more of an old fart I look like as the white hair are now more prominent as 75% of the black hairs died in treatment...
