As I am about to head of on Holiday with my family I wonder where the lovely people here at Susan's choose to spend their holidays.

So I guess this could be where you want to go for holidays or where you are going. For me it's Queensland to visit my Dad so where for you?

Depending on the price of gasoline, we may be doing several road trips.  It's one of the perks of being a school teacher - summers off (assuming you have budgeting accordingly).

To all who will travel this upcoming season, I wish you discovery and safe returns!

I know driving up to Maine will be at the top of the list.  Not only do we have friends up there, but my spouse can now write the trip off as a buisness expense.  THis one will happen, and it will be a lot of fun.  Maybe spend a day or two camping up in Acadia National Park.

Two strong possiblities are:
I would like to go down to Kentucky to visit a close friend of mine.  Bill is my son's Godfather, and we were the Traveling Road Show back in college.  I had the car, he had the girlfriends all over the state.  (Yes, I slept alone, and he never did. :D)

I would like to do a retreat up in Vermont.  Take some time and be quiet with myself and God.  No kids.  No spouse.  Just me.  Maybe bring my guitar and go up into the mountains for a day or two.

Two wanna do's:
A trip to Oklahoma to visit my stepmom.  Maybe go chase a storm or two if the weather permits.  Lastly, I would like to go down to Florida.  We have an old friend we have not seen in years living there.

And I am going to sit on my butt and play computer games, ignoring the telephone.

We'll... Leah and I will be staying home. Answering phone calls and wish family and freinds well for the New year.

We'll be visiting with some whom have just lost their Mom last night. She past away peacefully in her sleep. Which is always a good way to go when the time comes. She in her 80's Many of the kids Leah grew up with and will be coming in and spending some time visiting and getting together. She will be missed.

Everyone traveling be safe and enjoy your precious time together.

Smile,

We are spending the holidays at home.  One daughter who lives nearby was with us for Christmas and will come over for New Year's Day.  The rest of our family lives too far away to visit frequently.  We generally vist them or they come here once or twice a year at most.  I do not like travelling in the winter and prefer warm weather for family visists.
