So I got my new prescription filled and it was a different dosage entirely. It was half the potency in twice the oil, basically. Ever since I injected two days ago I've gotten some really nasty hives at night. They only seem to come at night, then I take two benadryl and go to bed and they're gone again by morning. They're really itchy and make it hard to sleep at night.

I looked at the packaging really closely and compared. It seems another change is this T is suspended in cottonseed oil, whereas all my previous stuff was in sesame oil. Is this possibly an allergic reaction?

I did some digging around and did find there's a compounding pharmacy in a town about 45 minutes away that frequently does Testosterone. Do you think I should try to get the exact same I used to get from Strohecker's there?

Has anyone else had huge blotchy, raised hives and spots after an injection? I'm hoping this won't last too long. I'm doubting I can inject again with the cottonseed oil T.

Yes, that sounds like you're reacting to the cottonseed oil in the new Rx. You should call your doctor as soon as possible and tell them about this -- it's the kind of reaction docs worry about. It should be no problem for your doc to write a prescription for a sesame-oil based preparation... with "dispense as written" in there somewhere. In the meantime, please don't inject yourself again with this -- allergic reactions can get worse, and anaphylactic shock is not a fun date (hives can be one of the early symptoms of this).

Yes! I managed to find a compounding agency in Moncton, NB. They were able to make the same exact mix Strohecker's made for me before. I injected on Wednesday and no reactions so far :)

More expensive, but beats dying from anaphylactic shock ;)
