I don't know if most transexuals sit down to pee when pre op, but I don't do it. I've tried doing it but it doesn't seem to work very well, it's like when I'm sitting it stops some of the pee from coming out and when I stand up, then it comes out so it's pointless. Does this happen to other pre op transexuals too? And if so does it still happen when you are post op?

Nope. When I went full time that meant everything, including peeing sitting down. Even when at a public restroom with a nasty toilet, then I just squat and pee. I think I'm feel weird if I did it standing up now, probably'd get upset at myself for doing such a thing. But go however you are comfortable. Of coarse if you ever become post-op don't see that's going to work, you'll piss over over yourself. 

Well you might as well get used to it, no offense, It gets worse  Post op. Women deal with that every time they pee. You'll be extra fustrated by the fact it will happen more times a day till you learn how to hold your pee. Cause the muscles that help you hold it in weaken consideraly after surgury and you gotta build them back up. I dont like peeing when I sit down cause im a mild germaphobe, But I do it anyways to 'fit in' and to keep myself from getting clocked, and to help keep GG's in public restrooms from spazing out. When I do things I keep the whole trans community in mind, cause what I do, effects the communities image.

Well post op it will tend to make a mess unless you squat, and pre op who cares! Do what is comfortable.

I sit.....mainly because I have shrunken so dramatically down there that if I didn't sit I would soak the front of my pants.

That and it just feels more natural to sit now.

I am like Megan and started sitting when I went full time. Sure helps with the dingle Dysphoria a bunch. I might as well get used to it, next year is the old SRS.

Haven't done it standing except for in the shower in well over a year.  I hate that little reminder.  In other news, I haven't missed the target in over a year, and have spent zero time cleaning dribbles off the seat or floor nor debating with my wife whether the seat gets left up or down.

Please tell me nobody does this in a public bathroom...

I actually started sitting before I went full time, and that was the thing that made my now ex-wife realize that I was gong to transition. I hadn't made that decision yet, but she was keenly aware that I was heading down that path before I was.

I feel like to each their own. Most of the time I sit, but there are many times that I just stand. I figure that I have the equipment and while I don't like it most of the time I will at least admit that there are many a time when it does still come in handy. I figure that if all goes right I won't have it for ever, so I might as well enjoy its few good points when they come up even if they are sporadic at best. Be honest we all second guess that cold toilet seat in the car stops. I know with how much I travel they can be unavoidable at times and we all know that sometimes they are just down right frigid. lol

When I'm in public I sit because I don't want any women to see my heels pointing the wrong way under the stall door. The sound is a dead giveaway too when you stand.

I also have peed standing up in shower....but not touching anything!! More like a woman would in the shower....and before you say ewww many woman also do!!

I can't imagine ever standing up again. Not even in the worst instances!! In fact I had to drive a mile down the street from where I was temporarily working to use the gas station. NFW am I ever going on a tree again!! or squatting outside if not need be.

Recently I was in a very bad place in my life.....I was very depressed and as I proceeded to use the bathroom I told myself f*** it I am standing....I don't care anymore. Well I couldn't bare to even do it then. I think it would of done me more harm if I had.

You make it sound like you've never peed sitting down before. If you have to do #1 and #2 at the same time its normal to do both sitting down. As for just peeing, I sit if I'm in girl mode, stand if I'm in public guy mode, and about 50/50 at my house in guy mode. The only reason I don't go full time girl at home is that my dog requires like 100 walks per day.

Back when I was still using the men's bathroom, I didn't really care. I preferred to sit down because it's cleaner (you actually get to wipe that last drop off instead of the incomplete "shake" method, and there's none of that gross splatter,) but I did do it on occasion if I was in a hurry or if the stalls were all pee-splattered. (Which happened a lot... guys can be real slobs in the bathroom.)

I would NEVER stand up in a women's room, though, and I hope that's not where you're doing it. Being allowed into that bathroom at all if you're pre-op and don't have a doctor's note or anything is a privilege. So if you're going to use it, you should probably play by the rules, otherwise you're just asking for problems.

I'm still part time, but I've been peeing sitting down for 4 years.  I'm the same as Jill.  Only in the shower

You just really have to get used to it, there's no other way around it. It's actually quite easy, just go for it! I start sitting to pee when I was 14, and even when I'm on men's bathrooms I pee sitting, but usually try to hold back the sound so they don't realize what I am doing...

You have to be very careful. If you stand to pee in women's bathrooms, unless the cubicle is fully closed, you may raise a hug red flag and get yourself into trouble with the other women.

As Suzi noted this subject has inspired a long thread before.  I am pragmatic and utilitarian with my elimination business but agree that using the women's restroom for me means sitting and fitting in.  That public place is not the best for red flags perhaps?  Men have a much longer urethra such that dribbles, shakes and position can effect the ability to fully empty one's bladders.  On HRT the very welcome shrinkage means being careful about not wetting oneself when the need to pee happens in the great outdoors where I prefer to spend much of my life.

Sitting does not make anyone more a woman, IMO, and STP (stand to Pee) devices have long been utilized by ciswomen and transmen when outdoors or as they wish. 

Also, if you're having bladder-emptying problems, try sitting in more of a "squat" position... hunch over a bit, and lift your knees up and to the sides a bit. Technically human bodies were evolutionarily designed to use the bathroom while squatting, so it might help a bit to mimic this posture.

Before I started sitting I frequently had difficulty fully emptying my bladder and often ended up with a wet spot on my trowsers after tucking it back in.  When I decided to try sitting I had to make a conscious effort to go to the stall instead of the urinal.

That was back in 1997 when I first decided to try sitting.  Since then I have sat or squatted full-time, even squatting when outside or using a messy toilets.  I have found it to be more pleasant and convenient in spite of the limited number of stalls in most men's rooms and the additional time required. I can take as much time as needed, without giving the impression that I am playing with that thing and never having to worry about wet spots on my trousers after tucking it back in. I am actually paranoid of standing and sitting has become natural for me.

My wife knows that I sit full time at home and has seen me sit when when we have used single stall unisex facilities together. She has never commented about it, either positively or negatively. I would like to know her thoughts.

I can't recall exactly when I first thought it would be nice to have girl parts but it was definately before I was 10 years old.  Now that my wife is post menopausal and gave up sex over 6 years ago because it was painful and that I don't need it to pee, I would be better off without that thing. No more unsightly bulges in my pants or unwanted erections.
