Well after receiving the referral from my therapist about 10 days ago, I finally saw the endocrinologist and I have my first script

I'm sooo happy!!
The consult itself was good, apparently I'm in great health and he was happy with the my mental state etc, but the physical part was kinda horrible; I had to get mostly naked and I really hate being touched, ESPECIALLY 'down there'. In the end though he was really nice and really seemed to care which was nice

As for the script, I'm mostly happy; I'm on a good dose of cyproterone (Androcur) but starting rather low with transdermal estro in my opinion, but you have to start somewhere I guess.. Its good to be getting somewhere though, and he's instructed my GP to double my E in 3 months at least.
Anyway, all in all, it has gone quite quickly which is great, it seems we have some really good trans experienced medical professionals here in little NZ. I'm really happy with the quality and speed of care so far!! But I must admit that was a lot down to me opting to pay for everything out of pocket so far, we have a great public system too, but I would have still been waiting to have my first therapy appointment right now if I had gone down that route.. I should be able to transition into the public system now and of course my meds are already covered by it too.
Now I must say a big thankyou to all on here who have helped by both posting there experiences and advice!! It made this process so much easier

Thankyou!! ox
