OMG!!  Walking around WallyMart today, shopping with my youngest (22yo), I suddenly got flushed, a bit dizzy, shaky, warm all over.. warm, hah!  that's an understatement!!  I might as well have been outside (was 104F today).  I didn't want to alarm my daughter, asking, do I look flushed?  feel warm?  lasted abt 20mins.. thot it might have been the coffee I had earlier (it was cool, not hot, the caffeine shakes).. but it was felt all over, not just arms, chest or head.. all over.  I ate some sardines (love them!) a lil while earlier, and had a bowl of cereal abt noon, that was all for today.. wasn't a heartattack, no pain.. just that flushed feeling, like you get with a fever..   when we got out to the parking lot, loading the grocery bags into the trunk, I broke open the box of oatmeal crème pies and killed two right away..  no, it didn't help, but omg, they were good!!  ;)

Anyway.. I took a couple of my E, Spiro, and Fin 24hrs prior.. could the hot flash happen then, later??  yeah, I know, really they can happen anytime.. but.. gawd.. I hope not!  I should be thankful I was in a nice cool building!

ok, you can stop laughing now.. no.. really.. you can stop.. (tsk) this is just embarrassing.. ;)

I'm filing this under the category of "what the hell am I getting myself into?". Does not sound like fun. I don't like being hot.

^^ well, in that dress, how can you not? ;)

I can honestly say, I have a new found respect and understanding for my wife and all the middle-age women I work with that says, "keep it cool, we're a bunch of toaster back here!"

This symptom tends to occur if one lacks E or T. If this reoccurs frequently, you should let the doctor know and perhaps E will be increased to compensate for the loss of A from Spiro.

I had a really fun time when I went off hormones for surgery. Hot flashes, night sweats, headaches...

At this point I've been through every symptom a normal woman  goes through. Cramps, vaginal bleeding, menopause... The works. And folks say we're not real women 'cause we don't get the same downsides...
Don't lose who you are along the path to who you want to be.

I was expecting loads of them after starting hrt, but I only had 1 or maby 2 since starting, and they were in the first week. I also felt very tire the first few days and battled sleeping through the night. All that seems fine now, except for some heartburn, which I previously NEVER got...
From my understanding,  woman going through menopause get hot flashes, and that is caused by lack of estrogen.  Taking hrt takes the hot flashes away.
Therefore you should not really get them in the long run, right??? Unless you are going on and off the meds.
Other input welcome...

Yes, hot flashes, tiredness and other such symptoms are usually the result of not enough sex hormones in the body.

Well, I was taking my E every two days or so, to do low dose, but now nearly every day and no occurances since.  While it was a bit alarming, it was also a bit of fun.. almost giggled at it.  Just hope it gives me some sort of warning next time.
