It's been a really good week. Got my HRT letter among other things.

Hi All,

So this week has been amazing. Much better than the last two weeks of beating my head against a brick wall.

On Monday I found a therapist in Mount Pleasant whom does trans friendly referrals. After chatting with her, she got me the forms I needed to fill out for a doctor that does all their clients HRT. This therapist apparently has many clients from all over northern Michigan. Once I found the doctor, I asked my own therapist for a HRT referral letter. So at this point, just waiting on scheduling. Doctor has both new client form and HRT letter. Good news is from what I was told, scheduling is only about 2 weeks out so if all goes well, I might be able to start HRT in 3 weeks or so. ^_^v Much better than the 7 month wait with the Endo I already had scheduled.

More good stuff this week. Had my laser hair consult. Due to concern about HRT and Laser, came out to doctor there. They were super supportive and have other trans clients apparently. I also have perfect hair/skin color for laser. She even made similar comments my therapist made about having a lot of feminine features. She said I should make a beautiful woman. Oddly enough she even suspected I might be Trans based on what I was asking for in Laser Hair. :P I think I'm going to get the MiraDry procedure as well. No more sweat/odor from armpits plus no hair will be wonderful. Have my first laser appointment next week for upper body. Will do lower at another appointment. Even better, their prices were very reasonable. They use I think the Lightsheer Duet Laser from what I saw.

Overall, it's been a wonderful week. Between Laser, talking to two therapists, and finally finding a HRT doctor. I'm in a good mood this week.

From what I gather, many girls seem to report much improvement in that area once they transition to estrogen from testosterone so perhaps wait a few months until you're on HRT before doing this. It could save you money. :)

As for all the rest, amazing! I'm very happy for you.
I am not a medical doctor, nor a scientist - opinions expressed by me on the subject of HRT are merely based on my own review of some of the scientific literature over the last decade or so, on anecdotal evidence from women in various discussion forums that I have come across, and my personal experience

I have been just over 4 weeks on female hormones, and the body odor problem I have had for years especially under my arms has 90% disappeared about the end of week 3 on the estradiiol valerate and micronized progesterone I take daily.  I am truly amazed by how fast this happened.  I thought this would take months.

So, you might receive similar benefits on whaever female hormones you might end up taking.

Best of luck with everything!
