Hey

So. I have been playing with my identity a lot lately, crafting and molding a person that seems to fit with how I feel inside, and I definitely identify as alien, non human, extraterrestrial. I have been thinking about dying my hair either green or blue, and i was wondering what you folks here think would look better on me. Now, I might end up not dyeing it at all, or dyeing it the opposite of what the poll results say, but honestly, what do you think fits me better? Which color is more ambiguous gender wise? You can factor both aspects into your vote. Here's a picture of me to help you decide.

I don't plan on getting another job in the next few weeks anyway, trying to focus on my writing and getting my GED all taken care of, so don't take that into account in your decision.

I used to dye my hair all the time, but haven't done so in about 5 years. So i think it is ready to do it again.  :icon_geekdance:

Natural with more blue than green highlights.

I say blue, really blue, almost black blue but still blue.
Only because that's what I'd do but my wife won't let me. :'(
And because blue hair is cool and would suit your looks and complexion.

Both green and blue... the right hues of green and blue look absolutely phenomenal together!

I have a lot of emerald green and hot pink streaks in my dark brown hair; I'm pretty certain that I need to add some cobalt blue.
FEAR IS NOT THE BOSS OF ME!!!

You look awesome all those ways, though the haircut in the last one is rockin. And I can tell you're androgynous for sure.  :P
I think I am gonna gave to go with either Manic Panic Tourquoise or Rockabilly blue, because that's all I can get at the mall ( the only place I can get to without my grandma). I feel like such a child. woah damn.

ideally, that's what I am going for actually, just a combo of a good sea green and a deep blue.

Well as far as ambiguous gender, I'd say green. You sometimes hear about them blue haired old ladies, usually in a derogatory tone, though I've never actually seen one...really if I met an old lady with hair that was bright blue, I'd think she was kind of cool...

Natural is better... dyed hair is dried .

If your hair is drying out all the time, use conditioner instead of shampoo to clean your hair.
The oils in it will loosen and lift dirt and old surface oils and rinse away.
I use shampoo maybe once or twice a month, not much.
I do clean my hair about every other day or so using conditioner.
It works good, no dryness, no split ends, less hair pulled out when brushing.

This also works well if your skin is dry, use a good moisturizer to clean the dirt and excess surface oils.
Oils in moisturizers will dissolve the oils much like soap does, without stripping away the oils under the surface.
If you look at the main ingredient in most body wash and shampoo, its laurel sulfate, the main ingredient in garage floor cleaner.
It's also small enough molecules to penetrate your skin and get into your system.
Ammonium sulfate is larger and doesn't do this. It's used in the better body washes and shampoos, instead.
Neither of these are particularly good for your skin or hair, they are there to strip away the oils, so that you have to use conditioner and moisturizers.
Why strip the under surface oils away when you can more gently lift the dirt and excess surface oils away and  retain the natural oils you're meant to have?
It really does work and cleans just as well.

My hair is past the middle of my back and hasn't had a split end since I started doing this a couple years ago.
Not even my old brittle grey hairs have them, they are as smooth as can be.
Try it for a month, I did and I won't go back to using garage floor cleaner on my skin or hair again...
