So I somehow got snagged by an IP address block from a past member so I haven't been on for a couple of months.
Since then I have lost my job in retaliation against my workers compensation claim for my knee. It has been diagnosed as a bucket handle tear in my right knee...yay me. The company I worked for is now fighting my needing surgery saying "it can heal without surgery".
Furthermore I found out I might have a 7 year old son....well when it rains it pours I guess

Damn, I am sorry, that is quite a bit to happen all at once....All I can do is offer internet hugs.

How are you holding up?

When it comes to holding up the Percocet is helping with my knee, the antianxiety pills are helping with the rest, and in the time in between I'm fully enjoying not having to hide my trans status and have either been wearing a sun dress, or skirt and tank top every day, minus one day a week when I have fun and get really dressed up....minus heels because they aren't crutches/swollen leg friendly. When it comes to my bills, I have been dipping into my gun fund and am in the process of closing my 401K so I'll have more cash.

Yes I enjoy getting to be myself all day, but I really miss getting out of the house for 8-10 hours a day.

Sorry to hear about your rough patch. When your knee was diagnosed, did your doctor recommend any particular treatment? I'd grab an attorney and fight being fired over filing a claim. That's what workers comp is supposed to be there for. You may get a settlement over wrongful termination.

On a lighter note, in the meantime, it's good that you are taking this time to dress as you really want to.  It's relaxing isn't it! For me it feels like I am more free to just be ...me
